1 out of 5 stars Nausea inducing?   April 6, 2006

I played this game for about 10 minutes and felt very ill, the camera oversteers on ever corner before swinging back to far and finally settling back where it started, I don't know why? But I find this bizarre.

2 out of 5 stars A disappointment.   October 20, 2005

I bought this for 20 after reading a good review in Gamesmaster magazine. It rated 89% i believe. Before this, i had bought TT Superbikes for the PS2 (which got 80% incidentally) and i found it to be a far more enjoyable and engaging experience.

The handling of the bikes in MotoGP 3URT is terrible- verging on uncontrollable- and is certainly more of an arcade racer than a simulation. It just doesn't feel right at all. I hated the way the camera sways left to right mimicking the rider's movement on the bike. It's frustrating and disorientating. If you're looking for a good bike game then TT Superbikes is it. ALbeit, it technically only has three tracks, (the TT circuit is 37 miles long though!) the handling of the bikes and the physics associated with this make it an essential purchase for ps2-owning bike lovers.

If a game based on the moto GP series were to be made with the TT SUperbikes engine and physics then i believe it would be fantastic. However, this version is a missed opportunity and i advise anyone interested in purchasing this to be very careful. I am a staunch racing game player and this is the worst thing i've played in years!

Hope that helps!

5 out of 5 stars If it ain't broke, don't fix it   October 12, 2005

Moto GP3 features the 2004 Moto GP season, like all Racing sim and sports seasonal releases, there's little difference between each release, look at FIFA football or Formula 1 games.
I'm glad that the developers had the courage to stick with the excellent bike handling they already had with the first two games and not feel the need to change it just for changes sake, how many games have we seen where further releases have actually been worse because they couldn't help fiddling around? well with Moto GP3 the bike handling is as good as it ever was, frame rate and speed are still there and the graphics are richer and more colourful than the last game.
So why is this game getting complaints? there's nothing more the developers could do regarding the simulation of the 2004 season, so what improvements are there? well, the 16 track extreme mode is the improvement, they've included what could easily surmount to a full racing game by itself that they've included in the game, I'd say that was one big additional improvement to the game.
Your purchasing decision is simple, if you don't care about the 16 new tracks and only want the game for the Moto GP then there's nothing new here from last time except the new Qatar Grand Prix and 2004 season liveries/riders. If you've never bought a Moto GP game on Xbox before then this is the best buy of the lot, and if you like to buy each installment of this excellent bike series anyway then it's a no brainer, the game is as great as it always was, and of note; you'll be pleased to hear the developers are already hard at work on next years game on the new Xbox 360 currently under the working title Moto GP 2006.

5 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Game - Whats the problem?   October 7, 2005

I think this game needs a view from a real motorcycle racer who races in the MotoGP Series [even tho im a privateer on a kawasaki :)] however, the game fully appreciates whats its like to ride a 1000cc 4 stroke machine. The online play is very good and better than 1 and 2. Also with the extreme mode when u ride more 'normal' bikes, they have got that perfect aswell, i ride a gsxr-1000 and the comparision is similar from game to reality.
