Just an additional game May 24, 2007 Mr. D. Oso (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
d00m 3 on Xbox is awesome, especially the co-op mode that makes it helluva fun! Now Rusurrection of Evil (RoE) is on the Xbox. There is nothing much about this game, still like the d00m 3. With the scaryness, however this is just a additional game. The storyline doesn't last as long as d00m 3, infact this last tooo early! Graphics are the same, noting els! There is more to the gameplay, you can get a weapon that works like Half Life 2's gravity gun. This weapon can control enemies fireball thrust at you, and you can throw it back at them. You collect this heart, which allows you to slow down time. Thats pretty much it. There are more enemies and newier enemies. The bosses in this game are much better than the ones in d00m 3. This ones, you have to find a way to kill them, takes stratedgy. Nothing wrong with the sounds or music. Just the awesome background music that gives you the thrillchill. Just like d00m 3, the online for it was lame! the only good thing is the co-op mode. However this game doesn't feature co-op mode, thats the problem. Anyway who needs co-op when if you use co-op mode, you will finish it within 2hours! There is also a multiplayer that is exactly like the d00m 3. When I played this online, no one plays this anymore! infact they cancelled the download contents. So you can't download anything. GRAPHICS 8/10 GAMEPLAY 9/10 STORY 7/10 (not as strong as d00m 3) SOUND 8/10 (d00m 3 needs some sort of a fast track music or techno) REPETATIVE 7/10 LONG LASTING 5/10
Welcome Back To Planet Mars! You're Trip Though, Won't Be Exciting!! May 14, 2007 Mrs. Dawnc Alexandre (Jersey (CI)) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the XBox Version of the Doom 3 series! This is an expansion pack of the game Doom 3 which was released for the PC & The XBox. The XBox Version has differences towards the PC Version of the game! On the last day of our holiday in August 2006, I was having final looks Woolworths, HMV and a few other places, and at the time, there was an XBox clearout sale and I saw this game for just under 20. I already picked up Doom 3 for the XBox so I thought it was best killing two birds with one stone and buy the expansion pack, at the same time, so I did! Again, never really had the time to play it much at the start, but when I did, it took me the whole of April in 2007 to complete the game, from start to finish! In Resurrection Of Evil, the expansion pack of Doom 3, you play as a different marine sent back to Mars to check an area called Site One. There, you will find a power-up called The Artifact. The Artifact is a mystical weapon that controls time allowing the user to evade challenging enemies and enter areas you couldn't have done so without The Artifact. You know that this Artifact does not belong here so you follow Dr. Elizabeth McNeil's advice and find the portal to Delta Labs, which will allow you to take The Artifact back to Hell! Beware; the Maledict is waiting for you! The expansion pack of the game contains 24 brand new additional levels, a few new enemies and a few new guns. You'll still have those eagerly Demons like the Hell Knight, Tentacle Soldiers, Zombie Machinegun Guards and Revenants, but they are not alone, as they've brought alone The Forgotten Souls, The Vulgar and more. Don't be afraid, as you're classical Shotgun, Plasma Gun, Rocket Launcher and BFG9000 will be accompanied along with the Grabber, Flashlight Pistol, Double Barrelled Shotgun and yet more! I didn't really find Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil for the XBox very entertaining on the XBox. One good reason is because my disk kept on wearing out and coming up with errors "Disk Dirty, Disk Damaged, please clean"! Another reason is I find there are too many of the same enemies. In this game you will mostly encounter Vulgar, Revenants & Zombie Machinegun Guards! My Grade For The Memory Card: 7/10: On The Ball, Down-But Not Out, OK My Wish: This version of the game to be a bit edited and fixed so that I don't get these disk problems that I very regularly get! Final Comments: Overall, not a bad sequel. I sort of recommend it if you're a great fan of the Doom games. But when it comes to choice, I still stick with Doom 3 rather than Resurrection Of Evil! worthy expansion to the doom universe March 4, 2007 stephen (england) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Resurrection continues shortly after the events of doom 3. You are once again a marine, but with added weapons and new levels to explore. The demon artifact which can slow time down is an awesome visual effect when you use it, and i love the sentry bots this game lets you have more use of them. The grabber is useful for repelling attacks and saving bullets, later on in the game the visual effects are striking. On one level delta labs, the screen constantly warps in and out going blood red in doing so. This is an outstanding graphical effect, and if you loved doom 3 then chances are you will enjoy this even more.

i was a fan of doom, and i still am a fan of doom! July 18, 2006 Dr. William Kilgallon 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
back then in the early ninties, i used to play doom 1 in all my free time, and the same when doom 2 came out, they took a while for me to crack! then in 2004 when doom 3 came out, i was a proper fan, the graphics were and still are every thing, the dynamic lights, the physics and brand new scary ideas never before seen in a fps. All these aspects have been put into this game the "expansion pack" it's titled, but don't get fooled it's not an expansion pack, it's pretty much doom 4. The games about half as long as it's pregual, i think it's just as scary, with graphics improved about 8% not i big difference but it's noticable. The game still engages the player but this game seems alot more like a game, doom 3 normal was like a beleivable story, apart from demons from hell ect but what i mean is that in doom 4 you get levels that seem like mini levels when you have to have skill and timing, as a replacment for the soul cube in doom 3 you get a demon heart in doom 4, it can slow down time for you to escape traps and to lengthen you're life when you're out on mars' surface, you need oxygen and by slowing down time you save oxygen, it's very hard to explain. the only down side is that there's not new game play, it's all still crawling through air vents and walking in dark corridors, the game was really made because id software had some left over ideas from doom 3. A good advancment is that the flashlight is atatched to you're hand gun! I reccomend the game to any id or fps fan. Not as good as doom 3 but it's still great, i'd give doom 3 9.0/10 and doom 4 i'll give 8.7/10
