Nickelodeon Party Blast sounds great....in theory. Take your favourite nickelodeon cartoon characters and chuck in some fun party games and there you go! madcap multi-player madness guaranteed!! so what went wrong? Well, in a word, its BORING! the games just fail to engage the player and tedium sets in almost straight away. It's a great shame as the premise of this game is so promising, but when you consider the other mulitplayer games that are currently available (such as Mario Party 4 & Super Monkey Ball) there is just nothing to recommended this at all. The games are basic, dull & repetitive and whilst graphically competent they are nothing to write home about. The overall presentation to be fair is excellent and clearly some work has gone into faithfully recreating the appearances of Jimmy Neutron, Sponge Bob Squarepants etc but when the game is as dull, as this who cares? Now I realise that this is aimed squarely at the younger players but this review was written based both on my own views and those of my 11 year old son who announced after just 5 minutes of play that it was "pants" so there you go....what more evidence do you need? If you only heed one word of this review, then heed this one....AVOID!!
