PLEASE WOULD SOMEONE BUY ME THIS GAME!!! March 6, 2006 Joanne (Manchester) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
i love this game - i don't even own it - i wish i did though. I'm beginning to run out of excuses for going round to people's houses just to have another sing. This an excellent game for anyone who loves singing (whether you can actually sing doesn't really matter) and for those who love the super decade that was the '80s. Go on.... buy it.... NOW!
Non-stop singathon February 22, 2006 monkey lover (Ireland) are you the type of person that likes to sing until your vocal cords explode, yes?,well then why are you wasting time on the intwrnet when you and your friends could be boogying down with your pals, but don't forget that you have and they probably have kids, but WHO CARES! go nuts.
Buy this....you won't regret it....but the neighbours might! December 29, 2005 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I played this game with some friends at Christmas and ended up losing my voice (my wife loves the game for that alone!!)Brilliant fun for anyone who can hold a note, and for those of us who sound like they're strangling a cat when they sing, it's a chance to act out those childhood fantasies of being a pop star without getting booed off stage. Great family fun and a good selection of songs for all vocal ranges. Buy it and annoy the neighbours!

I absolutely love this game and so does everyone I have played it with. Even people who would never dream of doing karaoke will reluctantly give this a go, and as soon as they've got hold of the mike they'll be the ones who want to play game after game!In my opinion the songs are a great mix of well known tunes; even if you were a bit young in the 80s to know that much about pop music, you will still recognise a load of these songs. There is a shuffle option anyway for if you get one that you really haven't a clue about. There is one rap song on it which is AWFUL and seems to come up a lot, but it provides a different challenge to the singable songs so in that respect it's interesting. My fiance complains that there aren't enough male songs on this and that the game favours a higher pitch of voice, but I think he's just bitter because he can't sing.... I would advise not playing this for prolonged periods just before bed unless you want "We built this city" or "99 red balloons" going round in your brain when you're trying to get to sleep. I think there ought to be an option to remove the original singer's voice but as yet I haven't found that option so I don't think it exists. Based on how good this game is I will definitely be buying the other Singstar games so that I have a wider selection of songs.
It's really 80's November 10, 2005 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
