A must for card game lovers... September 6, 2008 bookwormUK (England) I gave this to my 76 year old mother (with a new DS) a few weeks ago, and I've not seen her since! She's addicted. (And now understand why teenage boys crowd round computer game consols in shops!) There's a huge choice of Solitaire games, almost too many to keep track of what you've tried etc. I wish they would bring something like this out with over a 100 word games. If you like card games, you will like this - a bargain for the price.
Great fun! August 15, 2008 toozie (uk) This game is excellent fun, i agree with D Davies, that a hint option would be great, but it is a really good game, very frustrating at times but the games are explained very well, they take a little bit of getting used to tho!
Addictive! August 8, 2008 ugly betty (shropshire) As with another reviewer - why did we have to wait for so long! This game is addictive! Totally! Loads of different games for all ages! Love this game!

If you enjoy solitaire then this is a great purchase. The package includes a huge variety of games including the well known "Klondike" (the version that comes with Microsoft Windows), Spider and FreeCell. All are visually well presented and easily controlled with either the touch screen or interface keys, and each game comes complete with instructions on how to play. Several customisable options are also available including a selection of good looking backgrounds and card backs. The only reason for not giving it 5 starts is that it doesn't track your highest score or completion time for each game variant, it unfortunately only tracks how many times you've won and lost each game. For the price of this package it's hard to complain and highly recommended.

I love playing the 'spider' game on the PC, so I thought this game package would be fairly suitable for me. Now, you DO have to like plain, good old fashioned, card games - you can change the patten on the card back, but that's as flash as it gets! No animation - none of the 'blood and gore' that princelet seems to like in his games (thank goodness!), just plain old cards doing - well - card stuff. There are over 100 - yes 100 - patience card games - and you don't have to spend hours dealing them out (yipee!). You will heard of some of the games- but with this many - very few. Lots of them are similar - that's the nature solitaire - but there are big differences between some of the 'families' of groups, and there is certainly loads to explore. It took me a few goes to work out how to load a game, and I have to say that not all the 'how to play' the game instructions are fully clear (even that that took me a while to find): but all that is probably me, wanting to get on and fiddle! I have still have not found a 'hint' button - so you have to keep an eye on it all. Some games I had a couple of goes at and moved on - and some I wanted to 'just one more' etc, until I REALLY, REALLY HAD to go and sort out dinner. I am not sure how you are supposed to remember which you prefer and which you don't, I guess that comes with practising them all! (As if). This game package is great for keeping you sane, when you have to pass the time, comfortably. If you have to spend hours on trains/plains, - or are ill / resting / recovering, or want something to pass the afternoon on beaches / in gardens, then this is the one to stop you going totally 'snow crazy'.Now, you won't achieve anything with these games - all you do is pass the time: all be it in a fun way, and as long as you realise that you have to enjoy simple patience card games - then this game will keep you hooked for hours. I just love it and it will keep me occupied for ages. princesskitten
