Amazon.co.uk Review Just when you thought that EA and Maxis had run out of ideas, yet more adventures for your virtual families appear. And with The Sims: Superstar, the world of celebrity awaits them. Again requiring the original game in order to play, this add-on pack adds the function to watch your Sims at work, in this case attempting to make themselves famous. This naturally opens up numerous new pads for your characters to inhabit, laden with copious luxuries. Specialised staff can be introduced too, just to give your virtual stars a bit of extra pampering, and new career paths can see them become over-the-top rock stars, supermodels or movie idols. They also enjoy levels of success--successful Sims will attract groupies and win awards. Less successful ones may have to live without the sushi chef. Certainly one of the more imaginative add-on packs for The Sims to date, Superstar is naturally enough a must for the completist. For the pickier player though, despite some reservations, this is also one of the more entertaining additions to the original game. The broadening out of the Sims' lifestyle is a welcome facet, and liberal lashings of humour do things no harm either. Countering that, there clearly is a law of diminishing returns at work here. This is the sixth expansion pack for the original The Sims game, and anyone who's forked out for at least two of them will appreciate that there's nothing here to change things dramatically. That said, what's here is fun, and Superstar compares favourably with the expansions that have gone before. --Simon Brew

BEST EXPANSION PACK EVER February 4, 2008 Scorpio Definetly the best out of all the original sims expansion packs. Most of the others are easy to get bored of whereas with superstar you never get bored! Theres tons of new objects and you can travel to studio town and slowly work your way up to fame! build up your stars and harrass the photographers! Its great fun and if i had to pick any of my sims game i would keep this one! Even out of all my sims 2 games as well! Great bargin totally worth the money!
Totally FAB!! May 8, 2006 Ms. Monique Philpott (Tibenham, Norfolk) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This game is so much fun! The new objects are really great and the building things are great. You will get hooked on this game! Getting famous is great fun - it gets harder as you go along but every time you get a new star level its really great! Its good fun building superstar locations and meeting stars. Once you get more famous you can go in the caravan and feel really good! And if you have Unleashed then you can get a poodle!! The game is the best expansion pack by far! Its soooo worth buying! So GO FOR IT!!

The sims makin magic is one of the coolest games out I first played it at a friends house an we got hooked I was on it for about 1 hour what makes this game realy cool is that you can build up your sims magic points until he becomes a powerful wizard or witch you can also travel to magic town to perform tricks.
Excellent game July 6, 2005 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this game ages ago and still think it's smashing. The graphics and I'me so glad they put Avril Lavigne in. This is by far the best sims game with the exception of hot date which is excellent. It's a shame they speak in an unknown language. It is a lot of fun and it will make time fly, I was on for 3 hours thinking it was 20 minutes!
Fabulous, fabulous game... July 4, 2005 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
