Classic Worms! July 10, 2008 Snowy3 (UK) Along with Lemmings this is a classic Amiga game also! now re-living on the PSP. I'm pleased to say its pretty much the same gameplay and style with an updated feel to the graphics. Best played against someone although passing the PSP between you can be a pain! but it adds to the enjoyment to wipe out your friends personally named worms!. INCOMING!
It's worms! You know what to expect! June 12, 2007 R. Whittaker 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Unless you've been locked away for several years you will have heard of Worms and its several incarnation. For those that don't, imagine the old 80s game Tanx, but with more imaginative ways to dispatch your opponent as the animated characters react to the way they are attacked. The PSP version of worms is a lovely looking basic version, you get no frills, in fact you have a quick mode, which is one game with a set of worms against another team, Create a battle mode, which allows you to select teams and landscapes and do a set of skirmishes, multiplayer mode, which I will admit I haven't found anyone to try this with and finally Challenge mode, which is a series of increasingly challenging maps with opponents. The simplicity works as with later Worms games, some of the challenges made you throw the controller at the screen, something you don't want to do with the PSP. However, this simplicity will tire pretty quickly in 1 player mode. The machine allows for the sharing of a game, however I reckon the true power would be the multiplayer mode where you both have clear view of what was going on. Worms can only last as a party game, so make sure you arrange to get it with some friends! Worms works well on the PSP.
Cool Game, Good Fun January 10, 2007 P. Heathcote (Derbyshire, UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I got worms open warfare for christmas and it hasn't disapointed. The Graphics are good, the weapons are awesome, (even tho there is'nt as many weapons as the other worms' games) plus it has many challenges. It is therefore a great play. For how much it is on amazon, it is worth every single penny.

An Amazing Game For a PSP! June 12, 2006 H. HURT (Isle Of Man) 13 out of 16 found this review helpful
Ok, so this game has a couple of down sides, not so many weapons and for some people, a camera angle from the side. Considering this game is for a portable console, it is VERY good. The customisation is excellent. You can choose from: * Team and Worms Name * Gravestone (Left when worm is dead * Voices for worms * Computer or Human controlled * If computer controlled then you can choose wether it is cocky or strategic and so on. You can also create a scheme .(Where you choose what rules you have in the game) It is quite a hard game, but you soon get good at it. IT IS DEFINATELY WORTH THE BUY!
