Don't listen to anybody else, this is amazing! May 31, 2008 M. Butcher (England) First off, this game was not a disappointment and don't listen to anybody who says that it is. The people who have written a bad review for this game are either blind or just do not appreciate the brilliant gameplay and clever techniques used throughout. I have only just got this game but am already enjoying it, having started a campaign with my brother. It can get very intense and you will probably end up shouting at one another (even on screen), but in the end it's worth it. The attention to detail, to me is spot on, and I would not play it if it were any other way. I thought that the graphics were amazing and the list of things that you can do in co-op mode with a friend is brilliant. You take part in dozens of activities together including prachuting, driving and looking out for one another with the newly thought up aggrometer, which allows the other person to be practically invisible to enemy sight, making it easier for you to take up a good vantage point in order to kill as many enemies as you can. The icing on the cake for me though had to be the vast array of weapons to choose from, and the fact that they are upgradable to every possible imagination, including the addition of shields on weapons and even other guns. Overall I rate this game 5 stars because it has what I like to call the 'excitement factor'. It is an action-packed game which is sure to keep you on the end of your seats throughout. It is a must have for any ps3 owner and you would be a fool not to buy it. I try to compare this game with others to help you decide for yourselves, but I cannot think of any to compare it with. It is unique, take my word for it. Thank you for taking the time to read through this review, and hopefully ignore other negative reviews. I hope this helped in making a decision as to whether or not to buy this game.
Good sounding Product but it flopped May 27, 2008 L. Macnamara (Derbyshire,UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Once again EA has ruined what could have been a very big selling game, it had alot of potential and I was very excited about it when I first heard about it. It is too easy even on the most difficult setting and the online, which is the focus of most modern day gamers nowadays, was abismal. By limitng it to 2 vs 2 only it ruled out any chance of such intensity that other games like COD4 have brought to the table. After this and other dissapointments I think twice about buying a game when I see it has been developed by EA all except the FIFA series.
Dynamic and smart shooter April 29, 2008 Mister P 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Technic view: The graphic is detailed, clear and homogenous. Comparable with Ghost Recon. Animation is 1. class. Between the missions you have video clips which tell the background story and new entry of the mission. These clips have movie quality and are totally awesome. Best I ever saw. The sound is perfect. Best with 7.1. You are in the middle of the scene and know exactly what is where. Gameplay: You have to perform missions and in the mission several tasks. For each task you get money. With the money you can buy equipment. But you are equipped well. A HK36, an M14 Sniper and a Pistol. This is ok for the beginning. With the money you can upgrade your weapons or buy new ones. The game starts with a little training ground in which you learn the basics of the game and how to interact with your partner. During the game you get hints when something is new. You do not have to bother with maps. When you want to know where to go, activate the GPS and virtual arrows on the ground show you the way. Very useful. Saving happens at checkpoints. This is OK. When you have to restart, you do not have do replay too long. Fun: The interaction with your virtual partner makes a lot of fun. You also have to move dynamic. If you stay, you find yourself in a munition intensive firefight and be soon in trouble. If you work efficient together with your partner, you will find your method getting trough quite easily. Sniping simultaneously with your partner to eliminate guards, exchange weapons with your partner, let your partner fight aggressive so that the enemies mainly concentrate on him. Then you have the chance to go around them and attack them from behind. These are only a few possibilities. The story itself is round. Clear beginning and a cool end. There is also space for a next episode. I'm looking forward to this! Disadvantages: You can only play online with guys who have the PAL version. The game is so dynamic, that you maybe find it hard to stop. As the result, you can get trough in a long weekend play. Clear recommendation from me.
Nice try but BOO April 19, 2008 D. Thompson (UK) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nice ideas behind the game etc. But the graphics are truly shocking!!! Looks like Playstation 1. i was stunned. Awful. Surely EA would be expected to polish there games up a bit. I wasnt impressed. Dont bother really.
Two Required April 15, 2008 A. Ingason (Romsey) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, the idea and the COOP play was so inviting it couldn't be ignored. What I wasn't expecting was a nicely polished game, nice graphics, great interativity and gameplay along with a generic yet fun storyline. The interactivity with your partner is great, pulling and pushing each other about, flanking the enemy and teaming together to reach your objective. Of course the above is all relevant when playing with a friend, which really is a must have experience, I would drop a star for single player. The game works and is designed for COOP play at home split screen, and there it really shines. The single player isn't bad, just standard, there are still nice touches throughout but to experience it at it's best grab a mate and enjoy!
