very useful August 25, 2008 Jono (middlesbrough) this piece of equipment is essential for any xbox live fanatic. after my 2nd wired headset broke i thought maybe it was time for a change but after reading some reviews about the wirelss headset not working with older controllers! but with my controller which i got when i got my 360 the day it came out works fine with the wireless headset the quality of sound is alot better and charging time takes only a small amount of time a definate purchase
Let`s get one thing clear....... June 21, 2008 Derv (Birmingham, UK) ...... the wireless headset is NOT as clear as the wired one. I bought my first wireless headset, based on reports of better sound clarity and the convenience of no wires. BOTH (more of that in a moment) of my headsets haven`t sounded any clearer than the wired one. The reason I say both of my headsets is that I`m on my second one, the first one stopped charging after a few weeks of use. My second headset had just failed, with the same fault. My friend also bought a wireless headset at the same time as I bought my first one. His stopped charging about a week ago, at least he had a few months use before having to return it. I`ve got a wireless headset for my mobile phone, which only cost about 12. Why can`t Microsoft not get a headset, costing nearly 3 times as much, to be reliable ? The unreliability of the XBOX360 itself is almost forgiveable, as it is a lot of hi-tech in a small box, but surely a company like Microsoft should be able to design a decent wireless headset.
xbox 360 wireless microphone May 24, 2008 Mr. A. Ford (West midlands England) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
DO NOT i repeat, DO NOT buy this product, its uncomfortable, sound quality extremely poor compared to wired mic, wireless range is considerably shorter than the wireless controller, battery runs out fast and after 4-5 charges the battery was dieing after an hour of use. If you buy this item you will regret it.
Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Review. May 5, 2008 Anthony Stephenson (UK, NE) Overall, this is a pretty good headset, although there is one point i'd like to make which made me give this 4 stars instead of 5. The headsets rubber earpiece is quite loose and isn't firm on your ear. There is no problem with the sound. Everyone seemed to say my wireless microphone was working fine so theres no problems there. Apparently they suddently stop charging but mines been fine up until now (fingers crossed).
Short & But not Sweet March 29, 2008 Mr. Stephen Page (UK) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
It has problems, pure and simple, while the design is to be applauded, every other aspect of my experience with it was negative...... When it works it works extremely well, just don't expect it to last more than 18 months. 34 for a device that works for such a short period is false economy, it makes me wonder if manufactorers are not designing in obsolescence. Stick with the standard headset.
