Billed as the first James Bond film in video-game form, Everything or Nothing certainly doesn't lack in cinematic presentation. For starters it's got a cast of A-list Hollywood stars that most real movies would be jealous of, including Dame Judi Dench, John Cleese, Willem Dafoe, Shannon Elizabeth, Heidi Klum and, of course, Pierce Brosnan. There's even a title song from Mya and fully licensed Q-enhanced vehicles such as the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and the Triumph Daytona 600 motorcycle. In terms of gameplay though Everything or Nothing is far less extravagant. In contrast to previous Bond games it's viewed from a third-person perspective and looks and plays not unlike a more action-packed version of Splinter Cell. There are problems with the entirely manual camera system though--particularly the lock-on for the aiming system, which is frustratingly random in choosing which bad guy you target. The vehicle sections, which use the same graphics engine as Need for Speed Underground, are less obstreperous and offer some of the most genuinely enjoyable moments as you hurtle in pursuit of bad guys riding heavily armed cars, motorbikes and helicopters. Additionally, both on foot and when driving, the game gives you the chance to trigger "Bond moments" when you find shortcuts or dispatch bad guys in particularly imaginative ways. Everything or Nothing is perhaps the ultimate example of style over substance in video games, but there's just enough of the latter to ensure that everyone but the most pernickety of gamers will find something to enjoy. --David Jenkins

fantastic game been able to see the whole charachter and the graphics are ace the best level is the one on the highway with the motorbike blowing everything up fantastic game

First of all, i'm not a huge Bond fan as i find the films a bit old fashioned for my tastes (i prefer Bourne - fingers crossed they will make a game based on those films for the PS2). Anyway, that being said i do usually enjoy playing 007 games such as the classic Goldeneye on the N64 or Agent Under Fire on the PS2. So i was really looking forward to playing Everything or Nothing after seeing the good reviews on amazon.
However, i do feel the game suffers quite a bit due to two main things: the awkward control system and the insanely short duration of some of the levels. I'm not a fan of third-person shooters in general as turning around or changing view always seems really unrealistic and annoying. This game is a good example of this, especially when you use the auto lock aiming system and need to switch to shoot another person. It's really inneffective and sometimes the auto-lock goes a bit awol for no reason and the camera goes all weird.
Also, some of the levels at the start last about 5 minutes. I'm not a hardcore gamer so i'm pretty rubbish at most games apart from pro evo, but i've had this less than a week and i'm nearly at the end. It's a real shame because some of the levels are really good and just as i feel like i'm getting into it there's a cut scene and its the end of the mission.
Apart from that i think its a good game, with massive variety of missions (you get to ride bikes, drive cars and tanks, fly helicopters, stop a slutty-looking shannon elizabeth from falling off a cliff etc.), there's a handful of cool gadgets and the authenticity is superb seen as pierce brosnan lends his voice, as do william defoe and heidi klum.
But the game is really let down by the annoying control system and short time span of the levels. All in all its definitely worth buying if you can get it for under a tenner.

Not quite as impressive as the frankly awesome Agent Under Fire this is still a vast improvement over Nightfire. The missions are exciting and challenging without being overly difficult, and with a good balance between stealth, shooting and racing this is another Bond game which will satisfy the action fans.

I got this game when it first came out and i am still playing it to this day. I hoped that it wouldn't be yet another first-person because i thought James Bond could do with a change.When i turned the PS2 on i could only hope for the best. The first level compleely took me by surprise! I was expecting to go the menu, then go to the level, but i went straight to the level.
Then there is the multiplayer mode. For PS2 standards this is extremely good. My favourite multiplayer mode is the cooperative, which to my surprise has a completely different story to its 007 counterpart. In cooperative mode, sometimes you are required to charge in all guns blazing but i prefer to stay back in stealth and eliminate enemies one by one (either way is accessible and efficient).
This game has incredible replay value with 3 different difficulty levels (Operative= Easy, Agent= Medium and 00 Agent= very hard). As mentioned earlier on the review i got this game the day it came out, but i have still only completed a few levels on 00 Agent. Despite the optional intense difficulty, your efforts do not go unrewarded, as the right amount of Platinum medals (the symbol of your achievement) will reward you with cool unlockables.
The targeting is excellent and allows you to shoot your opponent in any place e.g. if i was to shoot his leg then he could not walk. The vehicle scenes were great and boasted a wide array of weapons such as smoke screen, missiles, electromagnets and many more.
If you are hesitating to buy this game, then i urge you not to. Get this game now or you will regret it for the rest of your days!

This is the first review I have ever written, and I must say that this is normally due to apathy towards the many many games I have owned. Anyway I will keep this simple: I purchased the game for my young son who normally gets bored within a couple of minutes. Well what can I say? This game in "Operative mode" kept him busy for ages, was relatively simple to operate and he was enthralled for the two weeks on and off it took him to complete it. Excellent graphics and many levels which vary between shooting, driving and the amusing video clips. This is a value game in my opinion so get it!!
