Good game, better than age of empires February 19, 2007 Florencium 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game is great. It is a expansion pack. The main diffrence between this and Age of Mytholagy is that this has a new civilisation (Atlanticans) and there are Titans. The Titans are awesome. They are massive beasts, monsters or Gaints. My favourate is a massive brown beast with three heads (like fluffy from Harry Potter 1). Overall quite a good game. Remember this is an expansion pack so you need to have Age of Mytholagy all ready in-stalled on your computer. I hope this review helped.
EXCELLENT EXPANSION PACK!!!!!!!! MUST GET!!!!!!!!!! March 27, 2005 10 out of 16 found this review helpful
After getting AOM I got the expansion pack for it and found it to be excellent and brilliant. You can have a huge titan tower over in battle asnd figting other titans on the enemy and there is a new civlization availble called the Atlanteans. There are alot of new features in the game that even I cannot name, the only feature i can name is that there are new units and myth units they come with the Atlanteans, but the titans units come with all civlizations. Overall this expansion is bloody brilliant. YOU MUST GET THIS YOU WON'T REGRET IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU NEED AGE OF MYTHOLOGY TO PLAY!!!! July 27, 2004 25 out of 116 found this review helpful
I was really excited when my new game was delivered through my letter box. I was going to use Amazon's offer and buy Age of Mythology & the Expansion pack together, but having read a review from 'A Gamer' saying you don't need the first game just bought the expansion. How annoyed was I when I tried to install it and it said "You need the base game to install this". It even says on the box "Requires Age of Mythology to play"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great strategy March 13, 2004 18 out of 21 found this review helpful
whilst the game is a bit on the expensive side, with only twelve new missions. but it is well worth buying, as it gives you a few new technologies and, of couse THE TITANS! (yay!) the story now follows akantos' son, Kastor, and his attempts to defeat the titans as they attempt to break out of erebus. Although the campaign is almost entirely atlantean, you do get to use the other mythologies once, although i find that the Atlantean mythology now almost entiely outmatches the other mythologies. Some examples of superior Atlantean power: -the atlanteans can use their god powers more than once -All of their units can be converted into heroes, so a mythological-heavy stategy can turn to disaster against the atlanteans. -The basic units themselves are frequently as powerful as the greek units, and have powerful counter units. (the fanatic is an unbelievebly good human unit, with the following stats - 120 Hp, 10 hack, 2 bonus damage Vs all infantry/cavalry, 40% hack armour and 25% piece armor (and thats without inprovements or hero status.) - whilst expensive, the atlantean villagers are far better than any of the other villagers, they build faster, gather faster, are better at fighting, can be converted to heroes to further increase their gathering/building speed, and they dont need a drop of point for resouces. That is my case for the Atlantean civilisation, and their only eaknesses is their expensive units and lack of a "super unit" (collosus, mountain giant atc.) Obviously with the new game, comes its name-sake, the titan - these huge beings can decimat entire armies and bring mihty cities to the ground, and therefore, it is now the key to many random map/multiplayer games, as it would be a disaster to allow you enemy to have one, and you without. the main problem with the titans is that there is no way to move them across water or mountains etc. so you need to be careful where you create the titan. if you do have AOM, then this isa must-buy, as there are few things in the game more satisfieng than watching your very own titan single-handidly destroying an entire enemy stronghold! can easily compete with Warcraft 3 for the crown of strategy gaming this year.
