GTA Advance (gba) January 8, 2007 M. Rahim (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
GTA advance is a great game. A lot like the original GTA and GTA 2. It plays by birds-eye view. There are loads of great missions, including taxi, racing, ambulance, police etc. and the normal missions. This GTA does not have all the new gta features. It has a small variety of cars and tanks, but does not have motorbikes or any planes etc. Like the original GTA's you sink and die in water. I highly recommend this game for GTA fans though, its a great pass time, hopefully they will make a 3d version soon - a bit like driver 2.
Listen up GTA fans... February 3, 2005 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
OK so I love GTA as much as the next person, I've spent a good part of the last few years wired up to my ps2 trying to complete the lastest installments - so I do know a bit of what I'm talking about, and GTA for the GBA is really NOT what you want. OK, so its on the GBA and maybe you dont expect much, but what you DO expect is the same vibe and storyline that has been around since the dawn of the very Grand Theft Auto. This is a shoddy excuse for a game, the dodgy graphics dont make this a bad game alone, its mostly down to the lousy storyline. You don't need a powerful games console to have a good story that keeps you hooked - so these guys really have no excuse.
gta gba who would've guessed November 29, 2004 6 out of 12 found this review helpful
it was rumoured that gta would come out on gba but noone took much notice.many people have tried to copy gta on the gta(payback ect.) but noone makes them like rockstar! you start of as a begginer in crime trying to escape liberty city with your friend vinnie.everything goes smoothly untill BOOM!!!vinnies car blows up!with him inside!!you are angry and want revenge on his killers. there are loads of vehicles around city from taxis to sports cars that travel 180mph.with the usual taxi driver, vigilante and ambulence missions included this game could last a long time. each car has it's own music.that's good, but i prefer the radio channels.sometimes the game feels slow.the action is sucked out when you have a 5-star wanted level and are going the speed of of a toddler in a pushchair. IF YOU LOOK PAST THE MINOR PROBLEMS THIS A GOOD CHOISE FOR YOUR GBA!

GTA Addict as I am I eagerly waited for this game, to bide the time when I was away from GTASA, it's very similar to the original game with a birds eye perspective and simple but surprisingly detailed graphics. The difficulty curve is very high though - most of the time you will complete missions etc without a clue as to how you have done it - the car controls aren't very responsive and are sometimes frustrating - which can be a pain as explosive swearing attacks aren't terribly endearing in public.... If you want something to do on the train, bus etc. and are addicted to GTA then you will enjoy it, but if not I don't think it would be for you.
SO GOOD! SO VERY, VERY GOOD! March 29, 2004 21 out of 47 found this review helpful
What an excellant little game this is! You wouldn't have thought that the Gameboy could do it but it could! Very good graphics and gameplay for a portable handheld console! 5/5 I ALSO RECOMMEND 'Max Payne' for this format - (Gameboy Advance)
