Wario ware... with it's best yet! December 5, 2007 argyle1 Ah yes Wario ware Twisted! Definitely the best Wario Ware of the series! I don't know why people have under-rated it because they got a fake UK version. It's not the producers fault that people are making fakes..... As long as you have the the Japanese version or the American version, this game is just AMAZING!!!! 100 out of 10, 1000 out of 100. Wario ware inc. is alot cheaper and extremely good for the price!!!!! But with Wario ware Twisted with the Gyro-Sensor gives it a sort Ps3 tilt feeling to it! There's 200 all-new microgames there's 21 bonus games and alot more!!!! !!!!!!!!!EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!!!!!!!
Will this fantastic game EVER make it to the UK? April 17, 2007 i wrote this (Bucks) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In March Warioware Twisted was named by IGN as the best game produced for the GBA. It still impresses on the Nintendo DS. Personally I think it's the best game in the Warioware series (that spans GBA, GC, DS & Wii) with the craziest and most hilarious mini games. If you are new to the franchise, here's how it works: Warioware throws a stream of random mini games at you and gives you 3 seconds to figure out what you have to do in each one & then do it. Many of the games also try to make you laugh and several of them succeed. Games in this colection span from shaving to avoiding bird poo falling in your mouth. The built in tilt sensor works incredibly well and the games require you to tilt the game gently, aggressively and all points inbetween. There's plenty of variety though with some games requiring button use. The game also features a rumble function that is the best I have come across in a hand held device. Like the best Nintendo games this has a lot of appeal and I recommend it to anyone with a GBA or DS. If you've enoyed Wii Sports you will enjoy this, the game play isn't similair but the style of play (waving your arms around) and the level of fun are comparable. Like Wii Sports it gets people talking and laughing together, I've had a room of people crowd around me whilst playing this game! Nintendo fanboys will love the twsited versions of retro NES titles and there's plenty of unlockables and some very challenging game play to keep you coming back and back to this cartirdge. Nintendo have been promising to release this game in the UK since April 2005. Apparenlty there have been problems getting permission to market the mercy tilt switch used in the cartirdge in the EU. Whatever - do yourself a favour and import an America copy. This game should be in every GBA and DS owners collection, it really is that good. Please do read the review below as it makes some very good points about avoiding pirated copies which do not have the essential tilt sensor.
Beware of pirated copies! December 4, 2006 Alexander Whiteside 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As you can see in one of the reviews below, some pirates are shipping bootlegs of this title. These bootlegs are ROM images loaded onto cheap flashcards, typically with a very weak backup battery (rather than EEPROM memory) for saved games. Of course, these bootlegs lack the motion sensor, and instead have been hacked to use the d-pad. Their save-game batteries also die within a few months. This game is not released in Europe at this point - if someone tries to sell you a "European" copy, or a copy with European boxart, it is a bootleg and you should not purchase it. Similarly if it comes with a "flatpacked" box, or some sort of "special" manual then the box and/or manual is probably a cheap printout taken from the internet. The only copies currently available are Japanese and (more commonly) North American imports. Remember: shop smart, and only buy real products.
GREAT GAME BUT USELESS WITHOUT THE GYRO SENSOR!!! November 6, 2006 Mario Ramos (Stockholm) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this game here at Amazon and was really disapointed that they sent me a cartridge that DOESNT have the Gyrosensor or rumble (like a normal GBA cart) so you have to play using the directional pad instead. This RUINS the whole experience, not to mention its impossible to finish some levels because the D-pad is irresposive compared to the Gyroscope... This is a great game. I played it before using a friends GBA with the real stuff so be carefull if youre buying here at amazon. DONT FORGET TO ASK IF ITS THE VERSION WITH THE GYRO SENSOR!!!!! I had NO IDEA they released a version without it since it doesnt make any sense releasing a game that is based solely on motion sensing without the Gyro Sensor Dont make the same mistake as I did... I am trying to give this item back. Its like buying a Ferrari with a Wolksvagen engine. You can still drive, but its not NEARLY as fun as driving the real thing...
Twisted but in a good way July 1, 2005 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
If you havent played Wario ware before it basicly random mini games throwen at you one after another, the games only last about 5 seconds each and when you think about it they are really simple too but but this much crazyness throwen at you without time to think makes the game really tricky. Most of the games in twisted are based around a motion sensor e.g one game you have a plate with dirt on it and a cloth in the middle by turning the gameboy 360 the plate revolves around cleaning it, flick food from your spoon in to someones mouth and steerin a car. The object of the game is to compleate as many mini games as possible to get the highest score there is a boss to finnish off every now and then but what makes the game hard is the further you go the faster the games get and eventually your gonna die. The game is not that long but it has great replay value and that is what the game has been designed around it will keep you going for ages.
