As with Medal of honor 2 Heroes VANGUARD IS 10/10 August 1, 2008 Ms. L. A. Ferguson (Burnley, Lancashire) Loved every minute of it, I never put the wiimote down! Highly recommended to all! The motion grabs you, it makes you genuinely scared to make a sudden move as you may get shot down! Cant say just how much I loved his game! BUY IT!! Overall I give this 5 stars, 110%, A***** MEGA! Lets see a Medal of Honor 3!
Not bad! July 22, 2008 Craig Taylor (Scuthorpe, UK) I always look forward to Medal of Honor releases, ever since I had the joy of playing the original game back in 1999. The game play is classic medal of honor. The levels are split between 4 campaigns taking you from the D-day landings to Operation Market Garden. The graphics have improved since European Assult, but I felt the gameplay hadn't improved at all. Don't get me wrong the levels are enjoyable, they are no where near as good as some of the levels seen in rival games such as call of duty, or Brothers in Arms. Medal of Honor games used to lead the way in new ideas for WWII shooters, but this lacks effort even the sound track is taken from previous instalments, and the game is way too short and can easily be completed in a few hours. Attention to detail is missing too. On medal of Honor Fronline, buildings use to be full of furnature and wall paper. In Vanguard every room in every house is bare! It is asthough the developers couldn't be bothered. The multiplayer mode is not much better, definatly not as good as Rising Sun's multiplayer. Although the game isn't the greatest Medal of Honor and doesn't contain many memerable moments, it is still worth a play for any fan. I must admit i did enjoy it.
Unfortunately a little short but definitely sweet!! March 8, 2008 R. WADE As mentioned in some other reviews here, Medal of Honor Vanguard is unfortunately shorter than die-hard Medal of Honor fans would like, but don't let that put you off this great title. On the plus side it has to be said that the game play accompanied by superb graphics, with the additional benefit of the unique control system that the Wii offers giving this much greater interaction and resulting in an EXCELLENT title that truly throws you in to the war zone and absorbs you in to the game. An additional benefit (unless you are "billy no mates") include the great multi-player options provided by the MoH team in past titles, offering on-going playability.
Enjoyable but too short January 28, 2008 will thorn (uk) This was the first action/shoot 'em up style game i'd played on the wii and bought it as i'd played other Medal games on different consoles and enjoyed them. I enjoyed this game as well to a certain extent, the wii controls worked well and were smooth and although not perhaps as crisp or detailed as some other consoles the graphics were good. My big complaint however would be just how quickly the game was completed. It took me 3 days (and that was only a few hours a day) to finish the game. This was on the rookie level and perhaps the veteran level may take longer but having started to play the veteran level and not noticed any significent differences i somehow doubt it. Overall this game would have to be described as disappointing simply as a result of the lack of game play time.
Mixed review January 25, 2008 K. Yeo (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've really enjoyed playing the game but overall it has been a disappointment. The game is extremely short and could do with being 3 times longer so you can get your moneys worth. The graphics are ok, but with the exception of the wii controls you could easily mistake it for a game cube or xbox game as the graphics are the same. My main problem are the controls as they havent been set up in the best way and i kept finding myself zooming in instead of shooting. Another problem is the guys on your team dont always work with you. I often found i'd lined up the perfect one kill shot only to be nudged by one of my guys and mucking up the shot. Despite this i plan to buy the next medal of honor when its released and i hope they have improved on this version.
