Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
With four ports on the front of your Xbox, why not add another Xbox controller to your system to benefit from the many games that are two players to four players. Controls include one eight-way directional pad (D-pad), left and right analogue joysticks, six pressure-sensitive multicoloured analogue buttons, left and right shoulder triggers giving gamers plenty of options whether they are playing Halo or Amped. In an nod to the Dreamcast controller, it also features a built-in "rumble" feature and dual slots for memory cards and other peripherals due to be released.

Thankfully, the controller has a long cable (2.74 metres), eliminating the need for costly cable extensions. The inclusion of a cable-break mechanism attached to the controller means that if snagged, the handheld unit detaches from the main system without pulling the console across the room. --Jason Denwood

5 out of 5 stars good all round controller   July 9, 2007

this is the best controller i have ever used. i have a ps2 but can only play oit for a short time because it gives me a RSI in my hand. AND GAMECUBE CONTROLLERS are A BIT BETTER IN THAT THY ARE SMALL AND EASY TO REACH ALL THE BUTTONS, AND I LEFT CAPS LOCK ON. thats better any way the original xbox controllers are better made and are a lot stronger. i am a very angry gamer and most of my controllers tend to hit the wall/floor. but still this controller is living and working really well i love it. thank you for your time

4 out of 5 stars I May Have Normal Sized Hands But I Find This Controller A Bit Obese!   January 30, 2007

I don't know about you lot, but when it comes to using this XBox Controller I find it extremely difficult, probably because of the size. I was like this even at the time I didn't have an XBox and kept using this controller for my brother's XBox!

Normally when I'm in the main menu or making selections I use the D-Pad on the XBox, but when I'm in game play I have to get used to the joystick. It's very difficult to decide a position where you can keep you're left thumb on the XBox Controller!

Although big and bulky, this controller actually has the same amount of buttons as the Playstation 2 controller. Their are16 Buttons (32 Buttons if you include all the D-Pad and all 8 corners on the Joysticks!)

My Grade For The Controller: 7.5/10 - Great, Entertaining, Challenging!

My Wish: Perhaps if the left joystick and the D-Pad were a little bit separated, using this controller could be a little easy!

Final Comments: Even though I'm a bit fuzzy, I am getting used to the controller now that I'm playing a couple of XBox games! Alas, my only catch is counting how many buttons are on the damn thing!

5 out of 5 stars bigger is better!!   June 18, 2005

This controller is the best purely because of it's size, it's not like those piddly little gamecube controllers or the xbox mini pads. This is a chunky double-handed controller that I have used for hours on end. It is a very comfortable controller once you get used to the size. If you buy one you'll never wan't another controller ever again.

5 out of 5 stars I prefer it to the PS2'S   May 12, 2004

If you've got big hands get this because this is comfy and the buttons are positioned perfect. When you push in the right triger it hurts after a while and you'll get used to it and the PS2 controller made my hands hurt at first because they're small for my hands.

If you want a smaller controller, get the Controller S.

5 out of 5 stars as bad?   March 24, 2004

Microsoft were forced to remake their controller into the 'S' version. But the bigger controller is a lot better, no jagged edges, comfortable and you'll almost forget your using it after a few minutes, use it with an open mind and it beats the PS2/Gamecube controllers no problem.
