Fun while it lasted November 18, 2006 L. Nickols (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After playing all previous Star Wars games, i was expecting too much. The game was too easy and way too short, if you compare it with the Jedi Knights and Knights of the Old Republic games, which were all brilliant and seemed to go on forever. If your looking for a quick, easy, fun game this is it. If your looking for a challenging, engrossing game go for the Knights of the Old Republic or Jedi Knights games.
this game is great!!!! April 9, 2006 Ms. H. M. Oconnor (anonymous) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful

If your looking for a short game, you found it. This should have been the greatest Star Wars game ever, but sadly its one of the worst. What happened exactly? I was playing on it....and it finished. Oh and its pips squeeks too, my gran could complete this with her eyes closed. Get Battlefront 2

STUPIDLY I looked at the first review in this section, rushed out bought the game, and two days later rushed back out and traded it in. OK now graphics. Call me picky but I own an X-BOX not a PS2, so when I play a game I like to see X-Box graphics not some PS2 emulator. Sound is very nice, yummy mix of movie clips played through out, but when you sit back, put your beer down and look at your visa recept what you got here is a naff side on scrolling beat em up, with little to save it other than it's Star Wars. You have a fixed screen (how retro of them) you run around it franticaly chopping stuff, you never feel free, just captive and limited to do what you realy want (bit like getting married). The light sabre bosses are great though, nice and smooth, just it boils down to more frantic button smashing, look for energy, can't find any and die. Oh cool I'll just do that ALL again then. The offical X-box mag did a good review, read that if you can, just try before you buy and don't let anyone use any Jedi mind trick on you, this is not the game your looking for.
Nearly Perfect June 27, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this game on the first day that it came out and was very pleased with the gameplay. The game has good graphics for the xbox and offers many of the moves that you have seen in the film as well as many special force ability moves (entertaining). The single player story line is fantastic offering you the choice to play as either Anakin or Obi-wan through 17 missions and 5 bonus missions (you get to paly as Yoda for the first time)facing formidable opponents such as Mace Windu and Count Dooku. The multiplayer is where this game flops. The co-op mode on the game is unfortunatly a letdown. There are only 4 missions that are very easy even on the hard difficulty setting. There is also a combat mode in which you can face one friend head to head with a choice of nine characters (incl. Darth Vader and Old ben). There is alos no online play although this would probably not have been possible for the game. I recommend this game to any star wars fan that would like an entertaining single player game nut if your looking for a good multiplayer game this isnot for you. Had the multiplayer been better i would have happily given this game 5 stars.
