4 out of 5 stars assum game   November 8, 2005
this game is great! i have heard people say its only fun when you play the real thing but if you are a serious paintball addict this is the game for you! i first played it at my friends house, since then i have bought it and have not stopped playing it since. This is a very realistic game as you can only see through the visor, but this makes it more realistic. Doesn't it? i hear people going whats the point if you can't see anyone to shoot but in reality if your playing paintball are you going to be able to see an overhead shot of the game. no!

3 out of 5 stars Different...in a good way!!!   April 5, 2005

When i saw this i thought it would be something different to the usual FPS games i am used to playing....and i wasn't wrong. At first when you play this you think what the hell is this all about as there are so many different buttons needed to be used to play this correctly. The view as if looking through the mask is a bit off putting until you get used to it and the difficulty is hard at first until you stick with it for an hour or so then you get to really appreciate that it's not that bad at all!
It can get a bit repetetive after a few goes but the fact you can upgrade your player and team adds something to the experience and for me this game despite it's faults has that "just one more go" factor that has seen me coming back to this more and more.
Overall i'd say for 16.99 on Amazon it could be well worth it just to experience something different and could be a good game to play online. As long as you're not expecting a groundbreaking game this is a good timefiller that could see you returning to it just to play that one more tournament!

I dont know about you, but I cant wait for Rainbow Six:Lockdown, First to Fight and Americas Army. But in the meantime, i needed something new, i thought i was going to get a fun shooter with GREG HASTINGS, but i didnt. I got a gimmicky game, with bad graphics, and no real thought gone into it.
The first thing which bugs me,is you cant zoom in with your weapon, ok i know that you cant do that in Real Paintball, but hey, if u cant see your enemys, how can u shoot them? The next thing has to be the First Person only aspect of the game, with the main aim of the game being to hide, and shoot the others, why on earth cant u see round objects? It baffles me.
This game is more of a tacky extreme sports sim, than 1st person shooter. And it just doesnt work.
Im yet to take it on Xbox Live, because i can just see it being too frustrating. But maybe that will be its saving grace, however, I DOUBT IT!

This game is a real different experience and a great game at first. It is like no other game, and a real joy to play at first. The great points about this game are: you get to create your character, their gun and their enirer apperance, like many games now-a days, it is very realistic and isnt too easy or too hard. The bad points are that after a few matches it becomes very repetative and although the levels may change, it is only the same bunch of inflatables in a different background. It is different from any other game though and for this reason it is a convincing buy. Also to top it off the xbox live feautures are great as you can play with your mates against your arch nemesis :) a convincing and different buy for the xbox.
