Amazon.co.uk Review Up to now The Simpsons games have been nothing if not consistent: they've all been completely rubbish. However, The Simpsons: Hit & Run thankfully breaks this 100 per cent record, and although it's hardly a classic in its own right it's just the thing for fans who want to worship their favourite characters through the medium of the joypad. Like many of the more recent Simpsons games Hit & Run is primarily a racing game--a racing game that's very obviously using Grand Theft Auto as its primary inspiration. There's less swearing and gore but just as much running people over and driving lots of different vehicles. You can't steal them off the street, admittedly, and the missions are presented in a much more linear fashion, but otherwise this is GTA: Springfield through and through. Somewhat embarrassingly for GTA the on-the-foot sections are actually handled rather better than Rockstar's game, with a fairly non-rubbish camera and a decent control system that actually makes the occasional platform sections rather fun. Most of the game is about driving, though, whether it be racing Principle Skinner to school in order to give Lisa her homework or helping Bart buy some illegal fireworks from around town. It's only when controlling underage characters like Bart that the game's concept really starts to seem peculiar (he only drives unmotorised vehicles) but otherwise the addition of all the proper voice actors from the TV show make this the first Simpsons game ever that is in any way worthy of a purchase. --David Jenkins

Great Simpson Action! July 9, 2008 Snowy3 (UK) If you love the Simpsons - read no more just go and buy this game (if you can find it!) and Simpsons Road Rage for that matter!. Its a bit like Grand Theft Auto without the shooting, blood, pimps and drugs!. You get mini missions to carry out which vary greatly from time trials (beat Skinner to the school) to finding things and people. Its a lot of fun with once again the 'proper' voices and charaters. Great for short bursts of gaming inbetween your huge adventures games. Its worth playing for the Bart tutorial alone! very funny!
simpsons hit and run August 9, 2007 Danny Sharp (Denny, scotland) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was a good game but not the best ther is. You can go your favarote charectors. It depends on which level your on. I wont tell you though I will keep it a suprise. AIso if you have gamecube cheat disc you can go anybody at any time. You can charectors you cant go in the originel game. Thers also a suprise at level 7. The bad thing is the graphics. The reason I say this is becaus it looked a bit cubey. The maps are not big but it could be worse.Ther are alot of cars to unlock and buy.Thats all see ya ; )
Crazy, unpredictable. exciting gameplay December 26, 2004 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I just recieved this game along with a gamecube for Christmas and I have not stoped playing it since. The dialog is witty and sharp and their are many references to previous episodes. The graphics are a bit blocky but don't hold that against it. This game is an absolute must for all simpsons fanes like me. I strongly recommend it.

This is an excellent game. it is much more exciting then the last simpsons game (road Rage)
Not so gory GTA May 7, 2004 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've played on all the other simpsons games and this is the best of the bunch. The storyline is just amazingly well written and the controls are easy to master (even my little bro got the hang of it). The only letdown is the graphics they are definetly not as shap as 'Super mario sunshine'. Altogather it's a brill game but short lived to though game masters out there.
