junk August 27, 2008 C. Huxtable (U.K) i really like playing tennis on computer games but this one is a complete joke. first of all i got bored within 15 mins of playing it as i got a wii about a month ago and i got this game with it and i havent played it since i got it as its so terrible. the control methods are crap, having to choose a different control method everytime you play a different court. im not even going to go into the gameplay detail cos just face it there isnt one. i wanted to buy top spin 3 but i changed my mind after the terrible reviews it got. i think the wii really needs a decent tennis game to play on cos this one is far from decent Avoid.
Terrible: Get wii sports tennis instead! July 18, 2008 IS (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game has all the colour and razzmatazz of carnival settings but that's where the appeal ends. The game is fast paced, but your response is jeopardised; you must swing a second before you intend to hit the ball, meaning that you will miss it most of the time. The main appeal of wii is the groundbreaking interactivity. While this game provides much for the eyes to look at, its makers contradict the whole idea of playing on the wii console by constricting interactive play. Why this game was released considering its inferiority to the existing wii sports tennis, I do not know. I though I was getting too old, but even the kids could not find it playable after just five minutes - enough said.
Great Game May 29, 2008 MCR ROCK (U.K) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this game a few weeks ago after trying the PS3 version. It is a really good game - the graphics look good and the background of the courts are well detailed and the music is great especially on the House of the Dead court. The controls work well and you can use the classic controller if you don't want to swing the remote. There are a good selection of Sega chartacters and a lot of different game modes This game would be great for anyone not just for Sega fans
Terrible!! Buy PS3 Version Instead!! May 19, 2008 Mr. A. M. Miles 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had high hopes for this game on wii, thinking the control method would closely resemble wii sports tennis but I was shocked to find out how really bad this game is. For starters the graphics are awful, they appear really blurry and are low on detail in the backgrounds! All the control methods suck! No matter what you do with the wii remote the same thing always happens. Plus the actual game of tennis it plays is so tediously slow as well. The PS3 version is so much better in my opinion. The graphics and controls are alot better and it is miles quicker and so much more fun! The Wii version seems to be the PS3 version with a 100 times downscaled graphics and tacked on Wii controls. Sega have rushed this game out on wii without putting any effort in at all. If you have a PS3 please buy that version instead!
Quite good May 18, 2008 Mark (Newcastle, England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't understand some of the bad reviews, this game is quite good. You can use any controller type method for this game (more game publishers should do this) and all of them feel good to use, the graphics are quite good and the amount on offer is good too and it is a fun game to play. The mini games are great and the championship and doubles are good fun too. Of course it isn't a real sim of tennis but nonetheless it is a fun tennis game. I have played the PS3 version of this too and both versions are very good in my opinion.
