So many on the market to choose from I decided to shop by price! I can say I am far from disappointed, this does what it says and does it well. Easy to install and use the software that come with it. One of the best purchases I made for the pc in a long time. Highly recommend!

I bought it fitted it and it works with no problems. The only problem with this drive is that it came with Nero 7 as the burning software. This is a total disaster piece of software and works out as very expensive as every part of it is only a 3 month demo version that needs constant add on purchases that make the package a very expensive one. Oh yes Nero, at least mine, wipes itself from the computer mid update and nothing will get it to run again and nothing will make the manufacturers get their thumbs out to make it run again or to return the money for faulty goods.
So buy the drive but get seperate software to run it.

very dissappointed with this drive.
I had it for about 6mths before it stopped burning DVDs. Still burns CDs just not DVDs. Looking on the forums suggests that this is a common problem. The HP website is no use, with minimal support. I am going to throw it away and buy a different model
