Product Description Going cordless means no trailing wires and a tidy desk. The toughball has an inbuilt Optical Trackball (mouse). as as you move, the mouse and keyboard moves with you. Ideal for those who like to sit back and have everything at their fingertips. Finished in a tactile rubberised finish, the Toughball not only feels good, it has a range of upto 10 meters.

very pleased March 2, 2008 M. Turner (UK) I bought this keyboard after reading other customer reviews for my media center pc, the microsoft ir keyboard is next to useless as the infra red receiver is blinded by both plasma and lcd displays, it works great if you turn your display off! This Accuratus keyboard is as others have said, absolute quality. probably the best keybaord I have ever had. The track ball does seem a bit quick and does not slow down if you adjust the mouse speed in control panel, but I you rest your thumb on the ring around the ball and use the tip of your thumb you soon get the hang of it. It is a clicky keyoard, I know some people dont like that, but I do, I feel the click , I know the key has pressed. there are no media centre controls, but there are play stop and volume controls, so you will still need your microsoft remote for media center. I would have prefferd to use microsofts ir due to poor security on wireless keyboards, if you are not aware of the risks you should be before buying!
Goes the distance February 19, 2008 David R (UK) I am already impressed with the keyboard even though it only arrived today. It feels sturdy and robust, the trackball seems to track very accurately and their are two options to replace the 'left mouse button' one on either side of the keyboaard. My one fear before purchase was that the 15M distance for the wireless connection was exagerated but I am happy to say that it works over a least that distance even through a brick wall. I miss not having an LED for the Keylock status but It is not a major problem and would no doubt have shortened the battery life, having read the previous reports I thought I may have to change the BIOS settings to ensure Numlock was off on startup however this was not necessary. All in all one of my better purchases which did exactly what it said on the box! Dave
Works with Mac Mini December 4, 2007 JohnK (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this keyboard elsewhere but thought that Mac users would benefit from the knowledge that this keyboard works fine with the Mac Mini. The keyboard is recognised by OS X (I have 10.5.1) and the only issue is the usual swap of " and @. There are online fixes for that. In addition to this, and contrary to what the documentation states, the silver buttons on the right hand side (multimedia ones) actually DO work with the Mac and control volume, stop and start of tracks in iTunes etc. I use the Mac as a Media centre on the bedroom telly and this keyboard is perfect as an all-in-one control unit.
Best keyboard yet November 23, 2007 P. Stanton (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fifty pound plus is a lot for a keyboard, but what a keyboard. Describing the Toughball as a keyboard doesn't do it justice though. It's the closest device to a true media centre controller there is on the market. Build quality is superb. Yes the trackball could be a little less jumpy, but once you get used to it, navigating through Windows is no problem at all. The keyboard responsiveness is easily on par with the best that Microsoft can offer and far better than anything Logitech offers. The shape of the keyboard itself fits neatly in to your hands making the use of the Tackball and the mouse buttons a pleasure. Probably the best peripheral I have bought for a Media Center PC, and worth every penny and more. For the first time it's possible to fully utilise a Media Center OS from a distance.
Nil Accuratus erratum July 8, 2007 Al West (Richmond, UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I agree with most of the comments here... the Accuratus is a neat keyboard with a nice feel. The absence of capslock & numlock LEDs is the main gripe. A rechargeable version would be an improvement. The NUMLOCK problem referred to by some reviewers is not a defect of the keyboard. This is determined by a BIOS setting - "power on numlock state" - by defualt this is usually set to ON. Not a problem for most keyboards with a separate numeric keypad but with compact keyboard like the Accuratus where the num keys are overlaid on the J,K,L (etc) keys this is annoying to say the very least and infuriating if, like me, you spend a long time trying to puzzle out why your login password is being rejected!! To resolve, set NUMLOCK state to OFF in your BIOS. Press DEL (or the appropriate key) during startup to bring up the BIOS manager.
