big lag June 16, 2008 Mr. N. Y. Yang Be careful - contrary to reviews, there is a lag with both the keyboard and mouse, the keyboard is clunky, and the mouse is heavy and imprecise. definitely NOT a pleasure to use. i would not buy these again and in fact am going to buy a new keyboard and mouse because i cannot work efficiently with the unresponsiveness.
GOOD BUT... April 9, 2008 Ratboyslim32 (UK) I brought this to go with my newly purchased Macbook. The keyboard is very nice and the short-cuts are well thought of and easy to use. However, the reason I only give it 3 Stars is that the mouse is not very solid and is not at all suited to Left-Handed (clever) people like me! Other mouses generally have a natural stance so a LH can make do; this mouse seems to be biased toward RH!
Great addition! July 21, 2007 D. Evans (London, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We've had this keyboard & mouse for about 6 months and we love it. It matches brilliantly with our Mac Mini and the keyboard is so slim it doesn't look out of place next to our TV! In fact, my Dad likes it so much we've just bought him one for his birthday. It worked straight out of the box and haven't had any trouble with it at all. The battery life is great, have only changed the batteries once in the mouse and not yet in the keyboard (probably because we don't use it much).

Without doubt this is probably one of the best mouse I have tried. The various buttons are well positioned and fall nicely within reach of my thumb / finger. The usual left and right click buttons are present together with the scroll wheel which can be used as a third button. To the left of the scroll wheel are two buttons which are used as volume controls for your music player together with a further two buttons, just above where you would place your thumb, that are user configurable. The options available as to what actions each button can be assigned are very good and you really can customize it to suit your needs The laser tracking is very good and seems to work on most surfaces. The mouse itself is white / silver so it matches nicely with the current range of Apple computers. Not too sure if the mouse can be bought separately, if so, then it would certainly be worth considering if you need a replacement or spare mouse but have no need for a further keyboard. And so onto the keyboard. The first thing that I noticed once I took it out of its' packaging was just how slim it is. It matches the mouse in color being all white with a silver wrist rest. Like the mouse, it has a good selection of buttons that can be configured to suit your needs and to be honest your needs will need to be plentiful as, apart from the extra buttons, the F1-F13 buttons can also be separately configured. The keys have a solid feel to them and overall the keyboard compliments the mouse nicely. Having said that there are a couple of minor things that I wasn't too keen on. The first thing is that I would prefer the tilt adjustment at the back of keyboard to be able to tilt the keyboard slightly more towards the user. It's a personal thing I know but for me the keyboard sits just a little too flush with the surface it's sitting on. The second thing is that there are no lights to indicate that the caps lock / number lock are on. Both the mouse and keyboard have a good wireless range and are easily picked up by the supplied USB mini receiver. The receiver can be placed in a spare port on your Mac or alternatively you can place it in the supplied desktop holder. Overall the S530 is a very good piece of kit and worth looking at if your after a matching cordless keyboard and mouse setup.
A classy product. January 4, 2007 T. Legge (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a nice looking and nice feeling wireless desktop set. I tend to find the normal mouse/keyboard combination rather uncomfortable on the wrists, so was pleased to find that this mouse sits very comfortably in the hand. The nine extra 'quick-launch' buttons on the keyboard can be configured to pretty much anything (though the volume and iTune track navigation buttons appear to have fixed functionality). Strangely though the volume control buttons on the mouse are configurable to do anything you like (within reason!). All these extra buttons can save a lot of mousing around the screen to and from the dock etc, which is much more comfortable over long sessions at the Mac. I had read a couple of accounts of installation and wireless connection problems prior to purchasing this product (though the majority of feedback seemed to be positive), but I can gladly report a trouble free (and quick) install. Having only recieved the product this morning I cannot comment on long-term reliability. All-in-all this is a worthwhile upgrade over the standard Mac input devices - particularly their one-button mice!
