 Two laptops and neither fit!! July 20, 2008

As with other two reviewers, neither of my two laptops fit very well. (compaq and acer) well actually at all. both have to sit on rubber hinge. n i paid fully for it from that large PC retailer.
HOWEVER it is a useful tool much more comfi compared to sitting for hours stooped in front of screen.
since using i am having the problem that my function keys are stuck on. so getting numbers instead of letters ie 6-o, 2-k. etc etc. cant figure out how to sort that yet!!
PAIN!!!! so anyone out there ant ideas feel free to open a forum.

I recently brought one of these for my farthers Precision M65 because he didn't want to get a docking station for it like mine.
I found that it is a good product apart from the thing the other fella has already stated the laptop does slip down they could have made that design a bit better although it it still very usable as the laptop rests in the rubber hinge.
I also found that a passport hard drive can fit quite snuggly in the gap underneath the laptop. I don't use photo shop so havn't tested the Alt+0 key for the shortcut on paint shop.
If you were going to buy one i would recomend the same as the other fella and make your way to a shop to see how it fits your laptop the other option would be to buy a seperate monitor stand and keyboard but you would lose the convenience of having extra USB port which this provides.
All that being said my farther loves the thing it has elevated his computer and given him a full keyboard and some extra ports the only downside is that it can slip so watch out for that.

This accesory will change the way people buy laptops. Not only it will permit a (much more)better experience of seating in front of your laptop for hours it offers more usb ports and a full numeric keyboard. Before, when you buy a laptop,his specs were written in stone,now with this you can turn it into a real working tool.
It has very nice design touches, like how easy it's to clear room in your desk by folding the keyboard towards your laptop,lightness and reduced size to carry around are plus ponts as well.
If you consider you're getting a full keyboard,2 extra usb ports and a foldable riser,it is very good value and solution.
Now the bad:
It says on the box that it fits literally any laptop. How lucky I am that mine doesnt(ASUS 15.4")and slides too much, but thanks god it stills very usable.
For anybody using an application were CTRL+0 is used (photoshop,etc)as shortcut to fit view on page,just let you know that this doesnt work on the Alto's numeric keypad, forcing me to do it on the top numeric,above the letters o,p. This is a major let down for me, as the idea of getting a full keyboard for the laptop was to avoid of getting used to different keyboards when switching from desktop to laptop. This is a Logitech fault,nothing else wrong with the laptop,but I cant take it back...
In resume:if I were you I will pay the 15 quid difference and test it in a high street shop,were you will see how it fits. You will also avoid to have amazon sending your goods through Homenetwork who will happily leave it with your crack addict neighbourghs in your absence,who will know now that you own a laptop (as they've seen an accesory for it)and may break in your house to steal it...
