Slow and poor tracking on some surfaces April 21, 2007 Ian (UK) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well, it works, but I've found that even with the mouse speed cranked all the way up in the system settings, it moves too slowly on the screen. The specifications don't give the optical resolution, but I suspect it is maybe 500dpi (from the name) - which is much too low for most people. I also found that on the particular desk that I use it doesn't track well - the pointer jumps around even when I am not touching the mouse. Placing a piece of paper underneath solves the problem, but then the paper slides around... Finally, this mouse has a tendancy to wake my laptop from sleep every so often.
