great little mouse April 7, 2008 Mr. Md Harvey (scottish borders, scotland) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
ive used this mouse for some time now and it is brilliant! even though it only uses 1 AA battery the life is great on it and it tracks well on pretty much every surface. it is also almost the perfect size to fit in a pocket of any laptop case yet is big enough to use for hours on end ( ive used it regularly for 9 hours at a time!! ) all in all a brilliant little device!
Small & cute - as mice should be August 18, 2006 Bluey Blue (Up north, UK) 37 out of 39 found this review helpful
Logitech do a great range of quality pc gadgets and this little mouse is no exception. First of all though I'd like to point out the horrendous packaging - opening it is not for the faint-hearted. In fact I could have done with a trip to my local tool hire shop for some industrial tools to get at the goodies inside. The mouse comes vacuum-sealed in tough thick plastic with no way of getting into it without hacking your way in. It took a good 10 minutes wrestling with it using some tough kitchen scissors to cut my way in, sharp plastic bits everywhere. Just as well the mouse works fine and I don't have to return it in the sorry state of what's left of the original packaging. Then the next hurdle was the driver. You don't get this with the mouse, you have to download it from the website and at 46mb you need broadband unless you want to be glued to your pc/laptop for the entire day and braced for your next phone bill. Not having broadband myself I had to download it from work the next day and transport it to my laptop via a memory stick. But maybe I'm still in the dark ages. Once installed and in operation it immediately makes the touchpad a lot slower (my last Logitech mouse did the same on a different laptop) even though the Logitech software says it doesn't affect the touchpad. That's wrong, it does! But as you are buying the mouse as an alternative to the touchpad in the first place, it's no big deal. Anyway, this mouse is lovely! It is wonderfully designed, the AA battery fits neatly inside and weights it nicely and it works a dream. You get the Logitech icon on your taskbar which monitors the battery power for you which is handy. If you have small, nimble hands this is perfect for you. If you have big paws for hands you will probably find it too little. All in all, it's a great product from Logitech and I highly recommend it. The packaging though is more `illogitech'.
