Got it half right.... April 20, 2007 N. Lewis (London, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I will begin by stating that I did not buy this product from Amazon. I purchased it from a High Street retailer. However, as I myself have done on many occasions, I look to Amazon buyers as a source of advice when considering buying an item. I regret I did not explore this avenue more when buying this "Multimedia Deskset" and feel I owe to other Amazon buyers to warn them against this terrible piece of manufacturing. But the good first: The mouse is pretty good. A little on the the super-responsive side, but you get used to it. It's a shame then that the keyboard, despite looking pretty good (I was happy to have to have it on my desk,) is a mess of insensitivity. Now a keyboard, even a wireless on in this day and age should serve on basic purpose: you tap a key and the corresponding letter/symbol should instantaneouly appear on the screen. And that's really where this keyboard falls down. Sometimes you could type as normal. Other times I felt like a primary school child learning to type for the first time such was the snail's pace of my typing waiting for the keyboard to keep up with me. Shocking. That said, if you want something to control the media settings on the PC then by all means waste your money, those buttons worked just fine. If not, stick to clicking on the pause button with the very functional mouse your PC no doubt came with.
