 Serious problems with the speakers February 5, 2008

I've had this monitor for just under a year and I've always had problems with the sound. The left speaker used to cut out every now and then which was annoying, but as I don't use it as my main TV, not a huge problem. Recently the right speaker has started to do the same which means I'm now occasionally stuck without any sound whatsoever.
While I've never had any other problems (the picture quality and other features have been fine) I couldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Bought this as i wanted to have tv,pc and ps3 all in 1 room. Great product and great picture.Only thing is even though its a hd tv it doesn't have a hdmi port so to plug my ps3 in i had to purchase a PS3 HDMI to DVI cable and 2x RCA Phono Female to 1x 3.5mm Male Jack Audio Cable which r both available from amazon at cheap prices.And know i have tv,computer and hd ps3 all in 1 room on 1 cool screen.

This T.V is very ideal for gaming on systems like the XBOX 360. It runs at 720p. It has numerous connections such as; Red/White - audio, S-video, red, green, blue and more! The only connection it doesn't have is the HDMI. So in theory it makes this T.V HDTV...still excellent.
I have a digi-freeview box connected as the analogue didn't work so good for me (just due to the location of my T.V and aerial-so nothing wrong with the T.V)
I haven't connected this to a PC/MAC so im not sure how good it is.
I gave this a 4/5 because when watching T.V, if your up close it just appears over contrasted. Not that its a problem (have tweaked with the settings) its better if you sit further away from it. -The other reviews describe this better then mine.
I do recommend it as a T.V for your bedroom or kitchen.

A fantastic monitor used it for a little over 18 months,but as work has become more demanding, just ordered a second. Used all connections and the PS3 looks great through it.

Currently I have an Xbox 360, a Media Center PC and a Samsung HT-Q20 Home Theatre system plugged into it and it is to put it lightly, absolutely amazing!
The colour alone is better than any of the other TV's of size and it's high contrast ratio means that whatever game you are playing on your PS3 or Xbox 360, it's going to look fantastic. I have all my games running on 720p and they do look outstanding!
It does have a lot of inputs in the back too, VGA, DVI, component video, scart and AV. It would have been nice though to throw in another set of component inputs. There aren't any HDMI connections but you can always get a cheap HDMI to DVI adapter, that would work well.
To be honest, I would only trust Samsung when it comes to HDTVs. Sony doesn't really have great customer service and with this TV you know you are getting real quality. I hope that you do go for it, if you do you're getting something really special!
