Couldn't ask for more... June 26, 2008 Pillowhead (London, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
.. well, i could. But i won't. I bought this to replace my well-loved 19" Hanns-G Widescreen, and i'm not disappointed.. This monitor is fantastic! Delivery was quick, but set-up was even quicker! I have a MacBook Pro and as soon as i plugged in the DVI cable - Bang - there it was. Perfect resolution, everything. Great. No dead pixels (i checked using pixel-check software).. Just a purely brilliant monitor. Highly recommend it.
First impressions June 22, 2008 Mr. J. Proudfoot (Helensburgh, Scotland) Just took delivery of this poduct two days ago, and I have been very impressed with it so far. This is my first TFT monitor, and I was attracted to it by the (mainly) positive reviews and entry-level cost. It arrived very quickly, was very easy to set up, and I have experienced no problems such as dead pixels. Build quality is impressive, with nothing stiking me as 'cheap' looking, despite the great price. I have tested the screen using a variety of media (including 'House of Flying Daggers' on DVD, and Warhammer 40k 'Dawn of War') and everything is vastly impoved over my old CRT. Colours ae more vibrant and contrast is superb, with no blur. I can't comment on how the performance compares to other models and manufacturers, but is it more than adequate for my needs. If, like I was, you are hesitant to make the switch to TFT screens, I can thoroughyl recommend this one. I did not initially want a 22" monitor, but after shopping around I found that this was excellent value to try out both the newer technology as well as treating myself to a few extra inches!
22" Really ? May 31, 2008 Mrs. A. M. Shaw (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have to say that I purchased two of these screens for my Mac pro and they really are excellent for the money. It cost me under 320 for two of these (with 5ms response) instead of 399 for one Apple with 14ms repsonse. These screens perform well, good colour and DO live up to the other reviews BUT they are not 22", I recon about 19.5" so if you do need 22" leave them. I personally don't think that you could buy better for less. Who would of thought an ACER would be first choice. Buy one now and see how good they really are.
Good monitor, poor warrenty May 27, 2008 J. F. McDonald (Scotland) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is an excellent monitor as the other reviews describe but unfortunatly mine arrived with a stuck pixel on the upper right of the screen, meaning when it displays black the pixel turns bright blue. This defect is not covered by the warrenty as the screen is a class II product, allowing upto 4 defective pixels, which in itself is pretty disappointing coming from a manufacturer such as Acer. I'll try to use a piece of software to correct the fault but I'm not holding my breath. Good monitor but mine is effectivly defective, hence the low score.
Excellent monitor May 24, 2008 Mr. Te Barnard 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is great, took the monitor out of the box, connected it to my MacBook and it was up and running in less than a minute! Sharp picture and really bright, much better than I had expected from a 22" monitor costing less than 160! Service from Amazon was excellent too; ordered at 1ish on Friday, It arrived Saturday at 8am!
