....i purchased this widescreen monitor,partly because of the reviews i read already on this review page,and partly because i shop with Amazon quite regular and am very happy with their total service!!!......anyway as for this monitor;..... it is excellent value for money,as there are other makes/models available on other websites but are much dearer and only offer the same technical specifications!!.The picture quality is second to none(bear in mind that this model screen is a 'Matt'finish screen,which is ideal for me as NO light shadows or reflects onto it at all,and i use it in a very light open room!!..It's very easy to set up as a 'plug and play' monitor should be!(certainly with Windows XP,as it finds the drivers for it automatically!)Also the change to 'Widescreen' for me is a 'big +',you have much more room and don't feel clostrophobic on websites,and for doing design work !!....Just finally,...if you purchase this monitor,make sure you change the 'monitor settings'to the size required for widescreen, in your pc's 'Control panel'..**this is a must or the picture you get will look 'stretched'!!!...it is really easy to change and then that's you 'up and running'!!...Good luck,and hope you enjoy this monitor as much as i do!!....cheers,Ian.

The picture quality is very good, works well with my dell computer. Excellent monitor for the price. I would recommend this to anyone that's looking for a cheap but good monitor.

Like the previous reviewer, the two stars are for Amazons excellent service. Delivered very quickly and collected without a hitch. The monitor very clear, the contrast needs a little altering to stop it appearing over exposed. However the buzz it emits drove us crazy! Despite all the good points this buzz meant it had to go back.

I can only really give this item 2 stars, and that's only because of the swift, efficient way Amazon have responded to the problem. Basically, my Acer monitor would not stop flickering, regardless of what screen resolution or monitor settings I tried. I checked other monitors on my connection and they were fine. This is faulty and is going back. OK, I know these things happen, and it is only 100, and you only get what you pay for, but it's still 100, and I could really do without all the inconveniance of having to wait in for pick ups and deliveries.......
