Product Description The Belkin 4x1 USB Peripheral Switch gives up to four computers access to a single USB 1.1-compliant device, such as a printer, camera, scanner, or an external storage device. It offers a convenient design and easy-to-use switching software that gives you immediate access to your USB device. Once connected, your device stays available to all connected computers, eliminating the need for you to unplug and reconnect it to another computer. The Switch is compatible with Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000, XP.

does not work - avoid June 16, 2008 Mr. J. D. Mason (Isle of Wight UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
not only are the instructions next to useless. this does not work with multifuncion printers - i was told by belkin 3 hours after opening the packet. "we did have a switch that used to work, but it had too many problems, so we discontinued it" marvellous. worst product ever. dont waste your bandwith looking at it.
Too good to be true! February 5, 2008 Penguin Fach (Fife, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Sounds a nice idea in principle but unfortunately it doesn't deliver, at least on my system. What the blurb from Belkin doesn't tell you is that this peripheral switch makes a substantial drain on the USB power supply so there is no guarantee that your PC will have enough juice to run it properly. There are ways around this but at greater expense. It runs OK on a couple of older machines but not my newer PC's. Belkin technical support is next to useless and tried to get me to buy more Belkin hardware without offering much of an explanation of the problem. The final disadvantage with this device is that when it works it slows all your USB 2.0 devices to USB 1.0 speeds.
