 Very handy travel speakers September 24, 2007

I bought these speakers about 8 months ago and they've proved to be very useful. The sound quality is very impressive given the size, and they fold up nicely for taking on trips. I found the battery life pretty good - they lasted a 3 week trip in Japan for me.
It was a bit annoying that it didn't come with a power adapter, but I looked through my box of discarded wires and plugs and found a 5V adapter for an old USB hub. This works perfectly for the speakers, and I use this when I'm using the speakers at home or travelling in the UK. I thus recommend others to check what adapters they have and see if they have one that matches the speakers.
As well as using the speakers for my Creative Microphoto MP3 player, I also connect up my portable CD player through the supplied wire and this works well too.
One reviewer mentioned that the speakers are easily affected by nearby electrical equipment. I've noticed this very occasionally with the speakers emitting a strange noise for a brief period but it's a minor problem and nothing to worry about.
I got my speakers from Play.com when they had a sale after Christmas for 17.99. This was an excellent price and I'm very pleased with the investment.
Finally, when I got the speakers I wasn't sure how useful they would be, but with work I'm often away for a week or more at a time staying in hotels and I find it nice to have music playing in the room (rather than through headphones) while I get ready in the morning or relax at night. Makes the room feel a bit more homely.

These are great: lovely sound, good size, brilliant design and they look brilliant with my new new zen stone plus. I'd have given them five stars but the price has gone up a bit since I bought mine.

This is a well built, sturdy and robust bit of kit. However, I wouldn't recommend it for use with the Zen Vision M. The "docking port" is not much help, and the unit consumes batteries at a ferocious rate. Worst of all, it is easily affected by any nearby piece of electrical equipment, which is liable to produce a high pitched whine that is most distracting.
So, whilst my traveldock 900 sits neglected, from a functional point of view I use a cheap and cheerful alternative that was available from Tesco's for under a tenner - not as pretty, but no whine, and with readily available mains transformers to cut battery costs.

I have never owned Mp3 speakers before and I was a little apprehensive about buying these because I didn't think anything so small could produce very good quality sound, but I was wrong! This is an amazing piece of kit! I was surprised with how loud it went and how crisp the sound was, and for such a great price. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for Mp3 speakers. Another amazing achievement from the Creative labs! 5/5!

These speakers are very good quality. They deliver a very clear sound, at an excellent volume level. Just a little bigger than a glasses case, they are very portable, easy to carry around. Overall, very impressed with them, and 100% recommend them, well done Creative.
