Perfect companion to Zen Vision:M August 19, 2008 Technogeek (Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK) I've had this Playdock for several months now and it is very good. The sound quality is excellent considering the size and cost of the unit. I would recommend anyone who has a Zen Vision:M to consider it as you will save on accessories as well: It comes with a two pin continental plug as well as the three pin UK one, so you can charge and play at home and abroad without having to buy separate chargers or adapters; it has a video cable so you don't need to buy one; and it has an FM aerial to improve radio reception. The remote control is good, but doesn't have a 'menu' button for choosing play mode etc. so you still have to use the control on the Zen itself for this function. The Playdock is a little heavy due to the chunky sub-woofer but not so much that you can't carry it. Both the 30Gb and 60Gb Vision:M models fit in the dock, but other players will need to be connected via the mini jack cable. In short, if you have a Zen Vision:M, get this.
Exellent Product, but why so much? May 5, 2008 S. Turner (UK) I bought this product for use with my Vision M. Having read previous reviews I was expecting it to be good, but the sound quality for a unit this size is brilliant. My whole music collection sounds great played through it. The only reason I haven't rated this 5 stars is the price. Why is the Z500 almost twice the price of the i500 which is basically the same unit?

magnificent piece of kit December 22, 2007 V. Hubbert (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Finally got my hands on one of these units after struggling for weeks and weeks trawling the internet all over europe and as far as singapore and hong kong and everywhere I went - SOLD OUT or unavailable. Bought this one absolutely brand new over the internet from an outfit in Belgium and they shipped it over to Essex for 5 euros !!!! What a fabulous piece of kit this is, excellent sound and build quality, I've got what I paid for here and don't regret a single penny of it, absolutely brilliant. One thing I had to do before using the system for it to work properly was to upgrade the "firmware" in the mp3 player from version 1.40.02 up to 1.62.02. Took about 10 mins from the creative.com website and now it's all singing and dancing, so if you do have a few hiccups then check the firmware in the player. IF you can find one anywhere then don't hesitate - BUY IT !!!
A problem with the volume control November 6, 2007 Julie (Cornwall) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this PlayDock as a present and had to return it and its replacement due to a fault - when you turn the volume up high, it turns itself back down. Amazon no longer sell this product themselves, you will get it from a marketplace seller if you buy it, so be sure to check their returns policy in case you experience the same. Amazon were great - it didn't cost me a penny to return, DHL were excellent in collecting the package both times and promptly returning it to Amazon. Aside from this problem with the sound, the PlayDock was EXACTLY what was wanted, so we look forward to the problem getting sorted out!
