Great value - why spend more September 26, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Printer prices have tumbled over the last few years, along with most other PC component prices. When I looked for a cheap printer just to print out some CVs I was going to get the absolute cheapest ( 30 Lexmark) but I thought "Hey, why not push the boat out and get one that can do photos too?"I paid 40 for this in the shops and I have been very impressed! Its a real bonus for me that it prints photos - good ones too. Colours are bright and contrast is excellent. Though you can see the resolution (dots) in some areas where shades are close (sky's etc). The unit is reasonably built and should last ok. The replacement ink is very cheap ( 5 in ASDA) but be warned I used a whole colour cartridge on about 50 photos. If you want a cheap printer and dont expect the photos to be quite as good as pro-developments (though you have to look REAL close to tell). Then this is for you.
What a printer for 30 quid July 27, 2005 Popcorn (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this just for printing photo`s,as i already have a hp 1355 all in one. The prints are as good as anything i printed on my hp.The cartridges for the canon are as cheap as 80p to 5 for black and color you could probably get them cheaper on the internet. All together it`s a fantastic buy i can`t recommend it enough so GO BUY ONE You pay as much to replace your cartridges in 95% of printers on the market.
Great Printer **** Great Price July 27, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I brought this printer for my young daughter to use as she was constantly draining the ink of my HP printer. I would say the quality of this printer far exceeds the cost of it, there is no collector tray, the only part of the design I did not like, however for 30 I can't buy a replacement ink cartridge from HP for my other printer. Canon offers ink at a reasonable cost. If you want a cheap and chearful printer then this is a good one to go for.
Fantastic but... July 17, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really liked this printer, small size, light weight, fast and economic saving money and time and you just can put it anywhere and wouldn't take much space. However, two things I didn't like; it makes a relatively loud noise and the colors are dimmer than the real pictures.
excellent for the price May 21, 2005 G. Quick (Cotswolds UK.) 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
