Excellent!! February 16, 2008 Star Action Figures - com (Brighton) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
One thing I never understand, is why leave people a 1 star rating for a product they've never used. Why leave 1* because it don't work on a Mac? It's almost like giving the latest Rolls Royce one star, because it didn't work when you put diesal in it, even though it says petrol on the box! If it doesn't work on a MAC return it. It doesn't mean its a bad product, and just makes it hard for people who use rating to help them purchase. I had the misfortune of owning a Samsung laser printer, and brought one of these little babies as a stop gap for just 39 (14th Feb, search around they're out there and easy to find). Compared to my old Samsung which took a minute and about a quids worth of toner to warm up, this little printer prints its first page by the time the egg timer has disappeared from the screen. The quailty is excellent, it has two paper feeds for those of us with different type of paper to use, the text quailty is superb and looks very clean, and after about 300 prints, so far have not had on paper block, whereas with Samsung I was for ever pulling chewed up paper out of the thing. The toner for this is again very reasonable compared to others, if your willing to search around a bit. My inly grip is I wish I brought one of these before I went for a Samsung printer! Highly recommended by those nice people at Star Action Figures !!!!!!!
Good machine January 15, 2008 Andy (England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Easy to setup. Had it working within about 20 minutes. Good quality printout. And quite small.
HP Monolaserjet 1018 December 9, 2007 D. Pande (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Hard to fault- the time to 1st page is incredibly fast. I use 400-plus laser printers at work (mostly Brother) which seem to have a much longer 'lag time' until the printer gets going. There is no problem with the print quality and you can even get decent black and white pictures (camera quality permitting- 1.3MP had lines all over it but 5MP was fine).... and all this for the same money as its crappy Epson inkjet predecessor.
Fantastic Printer November 28, 2007 D. Chin (birmingham, United Kingdom) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Having bought this printer for university, I was pleasantly surprised about how small it was. Fits easily in my room, and prints off high-quality black and white pages very quickly. I'm still on the starter cartridge, and am just about to purchase another. FAR more economical than an inkjet printer for those needing to print off documentation, lecture slides, and other things that do not require colour. Would definately recommend this. Be aware this product does not come with a USB cable.
Not Mac friendly November 24, 2007 Matthew D. Smith (London) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I didn't realise that this printer was not compatible with Mac. If you have Windows, it looks a great machine, but if you are one of the ever growing band of Mac users, purchase another printer.
