Lab quality photos for under 50 January 5, 2008 E. Chatting (Yorkshire, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought a kodak Z series camera and wanted printer to go with it. This ticks all the boxes, fantastic prints via camera, bluetooth infra red or media card. We got a fantastic print from 2.0 MP camera phone, was amazed at the quality. Yes, if you were to print every photo you take then it would be expensive, but it is brilliant for getting photos instantly when you can't wait! Would recommend this to anyone.
Unhappy with Kodak's Prices January 1, 2008 Mr. A. Burgess 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
After receiving my photo printer I discovered that after using the first free 10 sheets of photo paper I went to purchse more at a Kodak Camera shop only to be told I couldn't purchase paper alone, I had to purchase the complete bundle of 40 sheets of paper & a colour cartridge for 19.99p. On further investigation, I discovered that it was cheaper to put my photo's on to a disc & have them printed at the local supermarket. To say I am disgusted at Kodaks prices is an understatement.
The other customer review is wrong November 25, 2006 Master Baker (Narnia, Wardrobe.) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
Each cartridge comes with 40 sheets of paper, and has 40 sets of dye on the ribbon. The ribbon is in fact NUMBERED so you can see for yourself (although don't check this until you have finished the ribbon, as you may cause problems.) I don't see how the reviewer 'ran out of ink', as everytime you print a photo it has a new set of dye to print with, it even tells you in the software/printer properties how many prints you have left on the cartridge! This suggests that either his printer is broken or he hasn't installed the driver properly, or he doesn't actually own the printer. I have purchased THREE of these printers over the past year, 2 were for presents to family members, and none have had any problems apart from a couple of paper jams, and this NEVERS happens if you remember to shuffle/flick through the sheets before printing - just like it says in the manual. I havent had a jam in over 200 prints. Having said that, don't spend more than 50 on one of these printers because the cost of prints is high compared to commercial photo places like Truprint. I bought mine for 50 on Amazon (printer dock series 3)
High price consumables. April 30, 2006 Woodworm (Alcester, Warwickshire United Kingdom) 26 out of 34 found this review helpful
The biggest drawback when using this product that all would be purchers should be aware of, is the high price of the colour cartridge and paper. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the colour cartridge ALWAYS runs out before the photo paper, leaving you with up to ten sheets of photo paper that you can't use. NO, you cannot buy the colour cartridge on it's own, you can only buy another cartridge and paper bundle. At the end of a year, you will fin dyourself with a sizeable stack of Kodak photopaper that you cannot use. YET ANOTHER GREAT WAY THAT KODAK HAVE FOUND FOR LINING THEIR POCKETS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONSUMER!
