Junk... August 26, 2008 B. Sullivan (Cumbria) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
First one out of the box didn't work and the second developed the same fault after 2 weeks.
Astonishing value! August 11, 2008 Clare Mccann (Herford. Germany) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this printer because it was the cheapest I could find, I saw that it advertised itself as "wireless", but thought all that meant was that you could plug it in to your router, it was only when I got it home and saw the small aerial that I realised quite how clever it is! The last time I bought a printer was about 5 years ago and I have found this one a vast improvement. Setting up was tricky until I realised you needed to use the installation disc (something us mac users aren't used to!) but after that it was really easy. I really like the wifi light on the front of the printer that tells you whether it can see the network ok and the fact that it goes into standby on its own. As for printing time. When I hit print on my laptop upstairs, a two page document is done by the time I have walked downstairs. For this price it's a no brainer!
Cheap, but you get what you pay for June 25, 2008 Ian Arthur (London, UK) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
Ordered this printer to use it on my home wireless network. I was attracted by the price. Basically the cheapest WiFi printer around. This is the sticking point. The printer works great, reasonable quality printing, reasonably quick, but only whilst plugged into the USB cable. Try as I might I could not get the printer to connect to my WiFi network, or even connect peer-to-peer to my laptop wirelessly. Lexmark technical helpline were very patient, but were also unable to get it to connect, even though the printer appeared to be working fine. A problem that appears common on the web. I am reasonably experinced in WiFi and networking but ended up returning the printer and purchasing a more expensive ethernet equipped printer.
oh dear.... June 13, 2008 C. Angell (London) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
First one, internal wireless adaptor was faulty, promptly returned. Second one to show up, same fault. Avoid like the plague.
FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY February 20, 2008 S V BAUDAINS (Channel Islands) 38 out of 38 found this review helpful
Having just bought a wireless laptop I decided it would be useful for me to be able to print general letters etc on a printer which would not take much room and be able to print wirelessly at a cheap price. The instructions were extremely easy to understand and the printer was installed in about 10 mins from opening the box. It looks a bit cheap and tinny but for the price I paid, I think it is incredible value for money and it is extremely fast. Money well spent
