Ordered this item, waited 2 weeks for delivery then they cancelled my order because they say they are out of stock. Looked up this item again and there web page says in stock the only differance is the price is 2 higher. Not up to Amazon standard and supprised they use them.
Stick With The Canon Originals But Dont Get Ripped Off On P&P February 27, 2008 Garry Williams (London (Enfield)) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have tried compatible cartridges on my Canon pixma IP4300 and I can't be bothered with having to swap the chips off the original Canon cartridges and then clipping it on to the compatible, just to find the the bloody thing won't work. Stick to the Canon original cartridges for a stress free life of printing. Some people on Amazon have also had the same problem as myself when it comes to companies offering a really cheap price on the net, but when it comes to the delivery charges ( 4.50) WHAT!!!!!, really you and I know that a ink cartridge can be sent though the post for about 1.00. Do these companies really think that they can reel us in with what looks like a really cheap price for a cartridge that cost 4 - 5 less than on the high street and then make a huge profit on a unrealistic delivery charge. I have found a company called advantage online who sell a original Canon PGI-5 black for 9.99 and a full set of the CLI-8 cartridges for 34.98, which is a good price, but the best bit is that they don't charge delivery and its all sent first class royal mail. I have used them now on three different occasions have have been more that happy with the

Buy direct from Amazon, not marketplace. February 27, 2008 Chooky McCool (CI) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
As MCV states I have to believe that the negative ratings for these cartridges are based on buying them from the marketplace vendors & not direct from Amazon.co.uk. I've just bought 4 cartridges (1 of each colour (2 magenta)) & the postage came to 4 for 1st class delivery. The problem is the marketplace prices look inviting, but where they give with 1 hand they take with the other. Most of them are like this unfortunately. So my advice is if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is!!
This cartridge might not be the one you are looking for... January 27, 2008 R. J. Hall (Norfolk England) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this for my Canon iP5200 Pixma printer, which takes cartridges No 8 and No 5. Beware that this cartridge, although marked "8" is actually a PM photo cartridge which only fits iP6600D and 6700D printers, so I have opened and wasted an ink cartridge because of the ridiculous way Canon name their products. Thanks Canon!
