5 out of 5 stars At last, the perfect earphone!   June 21, 2008

Having been through several sets of Sony headphones over the past year or so (MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia, MDR-E818LP & MDR-W08L) I've got to say these are the best I've found so far.

Pros;

Snug and comfortable fit
Excellent sound response - both at low and high frequencies
Don't distort at high levels
Look stylish and cool
Cheap to buy and good build quality

Cons;

None I can think of so far!

The other models I listed above were either uncomfortable, dislodged themselves and fell out after prolonged use and didn't offer decent sound quality.

Highly recommended!!

5 out of 5 stars Do what they say on the pack   December 18, 2007

If you want a pair of headphones that won't affect the quality of your music whilst looking good and costing less than a tenner these are for you.

They produce a better sound than the 'phones provided with a Sony MP3 player and a louder one than those that come with an iPod.

Look at JVC 'Marshmellow' earbuds before buying these as they are slightly better but if you'd rather have a set that just sit in your ear rather than go in them these are a great buy.

One final thing, each ear wire is the same length, not one longer than the other which some people may prefer.

As the previous reviewer stated these are very much entry level headphones. But they have fantastic sound quality, surviving both my softer Kate Rusby tracks and my Death Metal Hammerfall tracks at low and high volumes. I'm using mine with my Sony Walkman MP3 player and they are by far better than the phones that came with it originally, which shocked me because I felt the sound quality with them was true to life. Sony have truly outdone themselves with these headphones. They look stylish too.

5 out of 5 stars Cheap but good   March 19, 2007

Even though these are very entry level headphones the bass is very good and they are loud and fit into my ears perfectly (very comfortable). They are reasonably durable and i have had them for just over 6 months and they have been fine. The only gripe was that the white cable turns dull after a while but that is hardly a problem. I recommend them.
