I am a daily chatter online using such programs as MSN,Yahoo and Skype.Likewise,I agree with J. M. Dickinson about the quality of the mic on this headset,it's been about 4 months since I've purchased this-at first the sound quality was fine but since last month there has been a terrible buzzing and whoever I talk to online has great difficulty understanding me.Avoid buying,I do NOT recommend,especially for daily use.Dissapointing from the Creative brand.

I agree with J. M. Dickinson the mic is appalling, I also get buzzing and having had a set of behind the head headphones I liked I thought I'd go for this one. The microphone is not long enough to be in front of my mouth and even though is bendy enough this sort of defeats the purpose. Headphone sound is ok, but starts to distort when there's a lot of bass... I'd recommend looking at other sets.

First off, the default image for this product is NOT the product you are getting. I was ordering a replacement for my broken headset and stupidly ordered this, thinking the picture (exactly the same as my excellent previous headphones) was accurate. The 2nd and 3rd pictures are the headset you get. When it arrived I thought this was no big deal as it looked more or less the same. I was wrong. The headphones themselves are fine, they do the job, sound quality is OK, even if they are quite uncomfortable. The mic is awful, it constantly buzzes loudly when not in use and when you do speak it sounds terrible (imagine talking to someone with a really bad phone mobile phone connection where it's a constant stuggle to understand them and you'll get the idea). Avoid this headset. Whoever you end up talking to will be very grateful you did.

We bought 2 pairs of these headphones to use with Skype for myself and my son. Easy to use once we found the volume control! Very comfortable to wear - better than some of my other headphones, so I'm using them regularly for music and other audio stuff more than for Skype as it turns out. I'm very pleased with them, and they arrived even quicker than predicted.

Got this to use with the Creative webcam I bought a few months ago. My sister moved to Auz recently so SKYPE conversations (with or without the webcam) have all of a sudden become very common in my house....! These headsets are very comfortable and sound great so make the whole experience a lot more enjoyable and personal.
