After scanning the document I click on the clone window, and try to use it, Then a small window keeps popping up saying, "please shift + click," I have tried shifting,, left mouse clicking, every thing possible, but that window pops up every time I click my mouse, I even re-loaded the whole programme again as per the book, Please help, Regards,,,,, George,,
Does exactly what it says on the tin November 6, 2008 P. Taylor (North-east Scotland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had an Epsom scanner (too complicated) and a Veho (couldn't get it to work) so purchased the CanoScan 4400F with some trepidation. However it does exactly what it says: it's very user friendly - easy start up and operation. Good, speedy helpline for problems (only problem so far is that I'm IT thick!)and the results are good even on 60-year-old negatives. Only downside is that it is slowish and the negative holder seems flimsy, but all in all I think it's the best piece of IT equipment I've bought. Ideal for the novice.
CanoScan 4400F - Slide scan October 17, 2008 P. R. A. Riley (Cumbria) Okay it's not quick, but for the money i am very happy with the results and high quality images - slides to p.c.
Cannon 4400F - Excellent product October 2, 2008 P. J. M. Mackrell (Hampshire, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
CanoScan 4400F Scan with Quality & Versatility In one word, this product is "superb". I was given a slide / negative converter for my birthday. This item was a lightbox, being a tall box, with a negative / slide holder. The results were awful, with totally burnt out slides and poor quality negatve prints. It was cumbersome to use and not at all user friendly. Luckily, we persuaded the supplier to give a refund. The Canon 4400F, in contrast, gives amazing results, with accurate exposures and colours. It is easy to use and I can fnd no faults with it. The only downside is a bulky unit, which if you have a scanner already, does take up extra space on your work surface. However, this is a small price to pay, and I unplug and store the unit when not in use. I recommend the 4400F, without reservation, and wonder why anyone would buy a higher specification model. The price is a bargain and delivery from Amazon came within a couple of days. The transfer to digital is fairly fast and the software supplied very straightforward. I now have the pleasant task of unearthing all my old negatives and slides and sorting out the ones I wish to trasfer to digital, before creating photobooks to display those old memories.

This device does what it's designed to do - no fuss, no complications, just slick operation straight out of the box. I use it with my Mac Book for scanning old 126 slides and it makes a tiresome (but worthwhile) task fairly pain-free if tackled in bite-sized chunks. The supplied software is intuitive and the build quality is high - in short it's very good value and highly recommended.
