beware October 14, 2008 Alison Kelly (South Wales) I've had this printer for 18mths and now has developed a fault with nonexistent paper jam and refuses to work, apparently one of the sensors has gone. I expect a good product that has had only light use to last longer than this, I will not be buying Canon again
Great Piece Of Kit October 13, 2008 C. Hession (Frimley, Surrey) Great piece of kit that does everything it says. The quality is supreme. I especially like the economy you get with the separate ink tanks. Non-Canon ink is available and works fine, but the genuine ink gives excellent results and is not much more if you shop around. I've owned mine for eighteen months and can't fault it. I don't understand the negative reviews here. I bought two of them, one for my daughter at uni, and neither has given the slightest trouble.
warning - do not buy this printer! July 17, 2008 adolf garlic (the UK (soon to be outsourced)) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Many people have encountered the dreaded U150 error. Search the web to find the woes people have encountered. Canon appear to be no help at all!
Same cartridge problems June 14, 2008 S. Draper (South London, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had the same problem as other people with this printer. It simply fails to recognise certain cartridges, even though they are full of ink. Very annoying and frustrating. If this didn't happen, I'd be perfectly happy with it, but as a consequence of this problem I can't use the thing!
A word of warning... February 10, 2008 angel rei 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
While the interface, functions etc etc of this printer are excellent I would like to add my voice to those other reviewers who have encountered cartridge recognition errors. These started relatively soon after I had purchased the printer - the machine refused to recognise the blue cartridge and then the yellow. Cartridges are expensive and I resent having to pay the extra money when the cartidges I have are full of ink and legitimate, Canon products. If this many people are experiencing problems then it's obviously not a one-off siutation - do yourself a favour: buy another printer!
