Fantastic Joystick November 22, 2008 Timothy Roberts (N. Ireland) I bought this joystick to use on the one game I have on my PC. Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It's a fantastic joystick for this game and has all the controls/button you need. It can be used for left or right handers too. Buy It!

I bought the Saitek Cyborg EVO on the recommendation of a friend and on the back of many of the positive reviews on Amazon. I have to say that it is a a really nicely designed joystick and I did manage to get a fairly full year and a few months out of it. The adjustable hand positions, the multiple button settings (i've had no problem with changing the presets) and the roll bar are all excellent and well placed. So, given all of this, why did I only give this kit 3 stars? Sadly, I have to agree with one of the other reviews about it's durability and/or craftsmanship. The trigger button barely lasted me a year and I am not such a devoted gamer to justify it breaking. Now, the sensor gets stuck and I find myself firing constantly (using up ammo - really annoying!) even when I have released the trigger. I am now in the market to buy another one and I am trying to decide if I should risk the Saitek or look elsewhere. Again, an excellent, ergonomic design, but a bit disappointing - given the cost, it should last more than a year.
Awful... May 5, 2008 Mrs. A. J. Dalton-mills (UK) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
First of all, when I got the stick I thought it would be excellent... it looks very good. But once you get playing you discover how bad it really is... it doesn't properly go back to the centre on ALL of the axis meaning that in FS2004 you don't fly straight and level. The worst problem is that the throttle only returns to half-power when you pull it all the way down meaning that the plane is always on half-throttle, making it impossible to land, park, etc. At first I managed to solve the problems with deadzones but now it's just got impossible. For the last two years I have just bought cheap sticks that last about one year. I bought this one with the intention of it lasting over a year but after two months, this stick is going in the bin. Don't buy it, there are cheaper ones that will work so much better - this joystick will have you wanting to throw it at the wall. Jake Dalton
Poor quality control May 1, 2008 Robert Pollard 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Ordered this joystick from Amazon a few weeks back. It arrived promptly through the post and on taking it out of the box it looks quite impressive. However, on plugging in one thing became evident. The joystick doesn't hold calibration. I tried lots of techniques to resolve this but they all failed. In the end I called Saitek support and they asked me to test it on another machine. I did this and it was still not calibrating properly. Saitek then recommended that I return it. After this incident I did some research on the Saitek forums and it turns out this is a fairly common issue. Given the number of high stars posted here I can only guess that this is all down to very poor quality control. Some people get good ones, others like myself don't. In the end I decided to order a CH stick as a replacement. At least these are subject to full quality control.

I got this joystick at xmas to replace my old analog cyborg 3D force joystick. After a few days of getting used to the different button layout everything seemed fine, but now after three months the switches in the bottom are starting to stick causing the joystick to think you are trying to turn to the left or right.Recalibrating the joystick properties helped at first but but now even that doesn't work! This shouldn't be happening to even the cheapest joystick after only three months so the Cyborg is heading for the skip and I am heading for P.C world for another joystick that doesn't have SAITEK printed anywhere on it!!!
