Genuine Memory Stick Duo Adaptor? January 26, 2008 Mr. C. Blewitt 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The item I bought looks and feels like the real thing, but the adaptor does not fit in either my Sony A100, or Sony Alpha DSLR. I would have returned it if I actually needed the adaptor.
Fine solution for a necessary evil January 13, 2008 Gozaradio (Wales, UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I hate the fact that Sony continue to go it's own way with the memory stick; Just about everybody else on the market uses some form of the SD range but Sony has to be different with a proprietary format. I bought a Sony HDR-HC3 HDV camcorder which can also take pretty decent 4MP stills so to use this facility, I was forced to buy a Memory Stick for it. The stick works well and I got it for a good price from Amazon at the end of 2006. Should be even cheaper now. Be wary of buying fake sticks from some independent sellers (you'll find people with bitter experiences here) but the genuine article works just fine.
Avoid Like The Plague January 11, 2008 Big Birl 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Beware: You might think you are buying a genuine Sony product but this sellers warehouse contains genuine producs and "mistakenly packaged items." As he himself says, buyer beware. Mega diassapointment at Christmas. Dear xxxx, We are contacting you regarding the A-Z claim you lodged with Amazon about the above product. I am sorry to hear of your problem. Firstly, I wish to make it clear that we do sell genuine Sony memory media. We do also sell generic pro duo memory sticks that we import from China. These usually have our own logo on them but our supplier sent our last batch with the Sony logo on both the packaging and the memory sticks themselves. We have told them that we do not want them with the Sony logo as they are in effect counterfeit and misbranded. We do not however sell these as Sony as this would be wrong. We are aware that there are some sellers including some well know on-line retailers that do sell these as Sony so it is a case of buyer beware. As already indidcated, we do of course stock genuine Sony memory media. In your case, because of the Sony branding being on the packaging, we have mis-picked your item during picking & packing instead of sending you genuine Sony.
