Very disappointing February 6, 2008 Mr. P. Campbell I bought this for my wife for Christmas. It was easy to use and transfer files and music to. The size was nice and small but with a clear screen which was one of the things that attracted me to it. Within a month though it stopped responding. Whenever it was turned on the drive just span and clicked for a while then eventually turned itself off. I tried all sorts to fix it but nothing worked. As it had only been used maybe a dozen times we were not very happy. Thanks to Amazons great returns service I sent it back and got a quick refund. Very disappointed after such a promising start. Would not buy another hard drive based product from Archos.
Waste of money!!! May 29, 2007 S. Barr (UK) The player worked ok for about one month then froze completely! The customer service is just as bad as the machine! After a few weeks of constantly emailing and telephoning I managed to get the player "fixed"!It has since broken down again, with the same problem!!!!Avoid this machine!!

I bought it and I must reckon that It was very easy to use... I douwnloaded al my files...was great not rouble at all...but when I decided to use it in my gym, the sound quality and volume capacity was very low...I was very dissapointed...I send ot back and still I am waiting for my money...
Excellent at first, then it went beserk! February 23, 2007 Alice Song (uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It was perfect at first. It not only was extremely practical and easy to use, but it also looked fabulous. HOwever, after a few months, it literally went beserk. It froze frequently and the battery rapidly ran out. Now, everytime I turn it on, it makes this odd clicking noise and doesn't shut up for about half an hour when it turns off. Waste of money.
Its great... and its pink! September 2, 2006 VJ Stoneman (Essex) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I wanted to write up a review as the others were really helpful indeciding which item to buy... thanks! :O) I bought my Gmini to replace my basic 512k MP3 player, and it was only just over twice the price I paid for my old one, so I think it's very good value for money given the memory and functions you get. I've only had mine a few days now and I love it, it is really easy to use, and has a proper menu system to choose your tunes by artist, genre etc. I'm not a very technical person, but it seems to be quite basic, but is great for the average user. The earphones are not that great, the left lead is shorter than the right one which I couldnt get along with, and on replacing them I noticed that they were not very loud. I chose some JVC pink ones to match ;o) The product comes with a neck strap to make it easier to use but it does seem a little bit heavy maybe for if you are using it while exercising - although I presume you can get accessories like a belt clip or something for that, for just walking around it is fine. Lastly, the instructions supplied dont go into much detail, but everything to start you off is in there, so far I have found that using the up and down buttons during play operates the volume, and holding down the on button with lock and unlock the keypad. All in all, a very nice piece of kit. :O) Buy one!
