Great for 18 months... June 13, 2008 Dionne (Chester, Cheshire, England) Ok, my nan bought this for me christmas 2006, i loved it... the touch screen, easy to use software, the colour screen, all for me.....i wanted something different from an ipod as everyone has them.... downside, its 18 months later and it freezes A LOT..... i cannot scroll up an down so i find myself listenin to the same old songs in my unknown artists section and it says its on hold when its not..... it was good whilst it lasted but im on here lookin for a new mp3 player.....
Worked great for 11 months, but then it suddenly died November 18, 2007 V. Talbot (Leicestershire, England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this as a Christmas gift last year. I loved it. It looks and sounds great. But it has suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. The music is gone and the PC no longer recognizes the device when it's plugged in. I called the Samsung about it and all they said was to send it back to Amazon where I got it. They didn't even say I could send it back for repairs. They were no help what-so-ever. And now as I'm looking online and reading other reviews about these Samsung MP3 players, I find that other people have had similar problems. I was going to replace it with a similar model, but after learning that other people have had problems with theirs, I'm now looking for a player other than Samsung. It's sad really ... the company just doesn't care.
best mp3 player i've tried October 25, 2007 D. Wolf (London) this is a fantastic mp3 player, I've had it for almosta year now and it's not let me down at all. Sound quality is great, sennheiser earphones make sound quality amazing, robust enough to use at gym, absolutely no complaints. For the price beats iPod for my money.
alright when working September 27, 2007 sophie (england) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My parents purchased this MP3 player for my christmas present last year. I used it straight away and enjoyed every moment of it ,after a couple of months i noticed that the battery life had decreased and it was only lasting for a couple of hours .. not what it said on the website that it would. But i could put up with that then a couple of months ago the mp3 player just suddenly froze, i tried everything i could to get it to work; resetting it ,letting it run out of battery ,clearing it and reloading it but everytime i went to switch it on it froze. When i phoned up samsung all i got was its not our problem and they weren't helpful at all about pointing me in the direction of whos problem it was. Its safe to say i will not be buying a product again from samsung .
Justify their battery life claim March 14, 2007 Terry 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Love the player, think it's a great little mp3 player but am not happy with the claim of 35hrs battery life as this was the main selling point for me over other similar models. I get around 10-12 hrs out of it which in itself is still pretty good but a far cry from the manufactures claim of 35hrs. I just get annoyed when advertisers claim something then say Aah but you have to avoid walking in the sun, must always face north on a ley line , have the volume on minimum so that you can't actually hear it and can only listen to songs from Wham and Banarama -anything else and you'll get a fraction of what we claim! I was not naive enough to expect the full 35 hrs claimed but was hoping for something a bit more than less than 50%. So while I would recommend this player don't be fooled by falsehoods disseminated from marketing departments who seem to have no respect for the intelligence of their customers. Just wish they would be honest and tell us how long the battery would last if a normal person was using it but I guess that would not look so impressive in the marketing meetings.
