Question not review September 13, 2008 Mrs. Julie Duell (UK) Does the Samsung YP z5 have the facility to attach a neckstrap - please can anyone help? Thanks Julie
aweful..dont buy this July 8, 2008 crocus wood i have had two of these players..one for me and one for my parner..both died in a year..as described by other reviewer...simply it just died.pahaps it was a good thing it was a nightmare from the moment i got it...yes it sounded good, yes it was easy to use but using windows media player to load up music lost me hours of stressful time - i would go for a drag and drop every time... also worth mentioning is my player died with the first year in addition to its final death..i have to say samson were very helpful and gave me a number to get a replacement off amazon..they had declared it dead..but next morning it was working fine again...so unreliable to say the least. i bought my parner one from a different place different time and the same thing happened to it.
Songs disappeared and won't connect to PC May 4, 2008 D. Gibson (UK) I bought this item in Nov 2006, and like a lot of other people it seems, all my songs and playlists have just vanished (except on Browse Files) and it won't connect to the PC either, so I can't charge it or try and download the songs again. I bought this because I thought Samsung would be reliable. Live and learn.
Great for 12 months, then........!!! April 2, 2008 Mr. M. Marsland (Newcastle Upon Tyne, England) I bought my YP-Z5AB in Feb 07. Just over 12 months later it started malfunctioning. Now it won't connect to the pc, the music files are now only accessible via the "browse files" function, and the battery isn't recharging. After contacting Samsung (whose customer service is appalling by the way), I eventually managed to get it sent for repair to their repair centre in Banbury, who have today advised that as it's out of warranty it will cost 135 to repair - more than the cost of a new one. All in all, this seemed a good product initially, but the fact that it's broken down after a year really isn't acceptable, and Samsung customer service are a disgrace. Reading the other reviews, it looks like this is a fairly common problem - I would recommend avoiding this Samsung product all together.
so much better than ipod March 24, 2008 T. MURRAY (london) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
having purchased this little player when it first came out (may 2006)i can safely say this is the nuts.i have used it nearly 5 days a week for 2 years.the sound is brilliant(but dont use the heaphones supplied)menus are easy to navigate and the battery life is good.i cant beleive the negative comments i have heard about this player it beats the ipod in every department(yes i do have a ipod).i think everyone buys the ipod because everyone else has one (they are so so overated its untrue) ,THE SAMSUNG BEATS THE IPOD HANDS DOWN.this little wonder will not dissapoint you.
