Over the moon... July 21, 2008 Mr. C. Ryder (Essex, UK) Ordered ipod on Thursday, arrived Saturday morning (and that was with the no payment delivery service) - well done Amazon! Actual piece of kit is class, have had no problems transferring my old itunes program to the new one and onto the pod. Earphones are shocking (but that's to be expected) and I'm sure that in a couple of years it'll pack up but for the moment it's simply awesome.
Great product but crap earphones July 20, 2008 J R Hartley (UK) Purchased one of these ipods from elsewhere as it was cheaper,(I won't embarress amazon by naming the company) and all I can say is what a product. Neatly packaged and has loads of memory. So far have got 5 films on it to watch on the go and my music collection..there is still 70gb of memory left. Very user friendly controls and managed to scroll through the menu without any trouble. Was going to purchase the creative zen 32gb and glad I didn't as I don't think it could have matched this. Only downside is that the earphones don't come with any of that sponge covering to hold it into your ear and tends to slip out..sort it out Apple!! stop being so stingy, and the unit tends to smudge very easily so on the lookout for a case to hold it in.
... July 13, 2008 aphrodites_child 666 (england) Brilliant in every way and i don't have any problems when i sync to itunes its very quick, The only bad thing is the headphones which are already broken after only a couple of months
Skips Songs - Don't Buy This July 13, 2008 L. Baxter (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a 160GB Ipod Classic in June and updated it to the latest firmware. I ripped all my CDs into the latest I-tunes in Apple Lossless format for playing through my hi-fi. I then found that probably half of the loaded songs skip to the next track after about 5 seconds. The only way round this was to reload as low quality MP3. Apple are keeping quiet on this fault, but check out public forums and find out for yourself just how many people have come across this problem. In the end I returned mine for a refund. Basically if you want decent quality sound, then buy something else.
