Product Description The Belkin 802.11g Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router lets users share files and a broadband Internet connection among their computers-without using networking cables. It features 802.11g technology that makes accessing files and networked peripherals-such as hard drives, printers, CD-ROMs, and DVDs-easier than ever. 802.11g technology provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the current Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. An integrated, 4-port 10/100Base-T Ethernet switch also allows you to connect wired computers to the network. 802.11g technology is the easiest wireless network to implement. The Gateway Router uses the wireless 802.11g 2.4GHz standard to offer you the widest working range-upto 1500 feet-and greater interoperability in mixed networking environments.802.11g technology is backward compatible with the 802.11b Wi-Fi networking standard, so it allows you to implement faster wireless technologies in combination with existing 802.11b Wi-Fi networks. An added Turbo Mode will isolate your network from 802.11b wireless clients and allow your network to transmit data at the highest 802.11g data rate.

No Hassle - just works November 25, 2008 Brian Sargent (Edinburgh) I'm not a great belkin fan generally but I've got one of these myself and have set them up for family and friends and never had a problem. Nice cheap bit of kit that does what it says. I've had linksys and netgear wireless routers that were nothing but stress but I've only had to reboot this thing maybe once in 6 months. Very stable and simple to set up.
Is it really this easy?? November 7, 2008 Charlotte I've been through 3 routers in 6 months and this has been the easiest to set up. I plugged it in and the set up took less than 5mins - I had a secure wireless network up and running in 10mins Just for ease of set up I would recommend this to anyone. Charlotte
Great product, works perfectly!! October 23, 2008 C. Stenner (uk) I bought this router even though it had some bad reviews ad i just thought i would take a chance. When it came the quick start up guide was easy to follow although the router didnt work by the end of it. So i put the cd in and all i had to do was put my isp password and username in and then everything worked fine. Took ten mins to set up!! Great range all around the house. I have got two laptops connected to it and two games consoles and works a treat. A great buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unreliable October 8, 2008 Ms. J. E. Gallo Have had endless problems with this router. At first it wouldn't work wirelessly, and after hours of sorting it out it worked fine for a week and then started cutting out every few minues. This makes IM programmes such as MSN and Skype impossible to use because your messages will not send and you will be disconnected repeatedly. Any downloading is also difficult as it will freeze halfway through. Like others have said, it will work for a little while if you reset it or unplug it and plug it back in but it is very unreliable. Have ordered a Netgear router to replace it, hopefully it will work better. Don't buy this router.
Belkin hell September 23, 2008 Michael Dodds (London, UK) I had bought this expecting to be able to extend my wireless Voyager 2110 range. The product does indicate that it can be configured to be used as a repeater. On making a connection using the `Easy set up' option and achieving a good signal from Belkin I couldn't access the Belkin configuration web address to make the necessary inputs. This suggested that Voyager and Belkin had conflicts. However on contacting Belkin support they informed me that my version ` F5D7230-4 version 7002 does not support bridging wirelessly' anyway hence this device is useless and on the way back to Amazon. If you are considering buying this as a repeater make sure that it is not version 7002 and check with Belkin that it will be compatible with your primary router and ask what version does support the repeater mode. Also: bad marks for not making this clear on their item specification.
