Really good May 19, 2008 dkwil (Chesterfield, Derbyshire United Kingdom) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Very good piece of equipment, pity it came formatted in FAT32, had to spend some time converting it to NFTS, but that was all, now just drag and drop
Good value portable external hard drive May 13, 2008 Chris (South Shields, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Because this uses a smaller 2.5" notebook hard disk, it's small (not much bigger than a pack of playing cards) and can be powered through a USB port so one less plug socket to find. It's particularly good if you want to use it with a laptop while on the go. At 120GB, it isn't the biggest drive in the world and because it's a 2.5" drive it won't be the fastest but it isn't meant to be. For 40 you can't really go wrong.
Just what I wanted! May 5, 2008 Snoopy (West Mids, UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I wanted something small & compact to back up files/music/photos and this has done the trick, although I know there are smaller portable HD. This is so easy to use. I plugged the USB cable into my Dell and Vista recognised it straight away. Transfer speeds seem pretty good too. My only quibble is that the unit only really has 111GB of storage rather than 120GB, but I know that other portable units have the same issue. Otherwise this is perfect - so far - and excellent value for money from Amazon at under 40!
Great price point / first rate brand! April 23, 2008 Mr. M. Duffy (Leeds) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
Good hard drive for the price. My vista laptop recognised it no issue and powered without surge (unlike other makes I had before). Is lightweight and looks good, the activity light is actually the capacity badge. Set as FAT32 but reformatted for NTFS no problem. Will probably buy another due to the cost and reliability. Cheers I'm kicking myself a little, you can now get this drive as a 160gb for only 5 more. (part number to search for is 29411)
