1 out of 5 stars Terrible!   January 4, 2009
Dm Robinson
Bought this printer on the basis of everyone elses good reviews! I found it so irritating - it would take ages to print or scan once you sent something to it!

After about two months the rollers that rolled the paper in broke so much to my delight I sent it back and am now going to buy a better one!

I would recommend spending a bit more and buying a more sturdy, decent printer like the canon mp610.

5 out of 5 stars What a great printer!   January 4, 2009

After getting everything set up and running (which is also easy to do, bearing in mind that you dont recieve a USB cable i myself ordered one separately) the quality in printing general documents and photo's is just brillient.
The printer it's self is very sturdy, good quality and would be perfect for the home or a small office.

1 out of 5 stars DONT BUY   November 26, 2008

this is a rubbish printer, had it for a week and i already get the E3 message ''theres a jam in the printer'' open the printer and lo-and behold....theres nothing inside it! it even prints the first page of any document, then the message comes up. secondly, it takes an eternity to start up and takes even longer for the ink cartriges to move across so u can change them. another problem-it runs out of ink quite quickly and when you print on fast mode, the paper gets sucked in really quickly and the alignment then gets screwed up-not helpful when you've run out of ink and have to hand in coursework!!next problem is that the serial number is behind the ribbon (which retard decided to stick that there?!?) and there isnt a USB cable to connect it to the laptop.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.....(does look nice tho)

5 out of 5 stars absolute bargain   November 19, 2008

I was looking for a photo and document printer but had been used to an all-in-one. Couldn't believe that I could get all this for under 40 and be any good! Well I read loads of reviews and watched a video about this printer and boy is it good. The quality of the photos is great, so would definitely recommend this to anyone needing to have all the advantages of an all-in-one with great photo printing qualities too.

5 out of 5 stars A good general purpose printer and scanner   November 14, 2008

I bought this all-in-one printer and scanner almost one year ago. I have printed pictures and letters etc with it, and also done a small amount of scanning with it too. It isn't intended to produce top notch prints or scans - for that you'll have to fork out a lot more money that this machine costs - but it does do the job it's supposed to do and it does it well. That is, it gives good general results without costing a fortune. I bought it to replace an older Epson printer and I have found this one gives better quality prints, and also costs a lot less to run as the ink goes a lot further than the Epson model.

The software that came with the Canon was installed without any fuss, and the build quality is excellent for the price. It operates quietly too, and the only downside I have found with it is that it's quite a big machine. I suppose it would have been nice if it had come complete with a USB lead too, but for this sort of price I'm not going to complain too loudly about that.
